Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingGotcha. I’m in the process of discussing with the client whether or not they want to re-up Support Forum access over there. In the meantime, could you possibly provide a link to an earlier iteration of the theme so that I can “downgrade”?
Thanks!

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updating@romik84 – are you simply not going to answer here anymore?

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingIf you’re referring to the all-purpose Contact Us email form, the accompanying text states the form should only be used for “general enquiries”. Am I missing another contact link? Or should I use the forums there?

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingSorry – I don’t know where to find that ??

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingRomik84 – Do you need to see specific files? The site resides on our company server – I can’t give you access for security reasons. I could copy and post specific files or copy/zip the entire site (minus the wp-config; it’s about 160MB zipped) and post THAT.

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingI’d tried that earlier. Now I’ve tried it while the HS-Social-Media-Buttons plugin is deactivated.
Still nothing ??

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingThe client also LOVES having those social media links always available (as opposed to only in the part of the header that disappears when you scroll down the page).

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingDeactivating the indicated plugin eliminated the error message but did NOT bring back the Content Boxes.

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingWhen I turn on debug mode, I see: “Notice: Undefined variable: options in /var/www/org_studentdo/wp-content/plugins/hs-social-media-buttons/inc/front-end-head.php on line 7”
Does that mean anything with regard to the Content Boxes? It’s obviously not a file that I’d be touching…

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingJust spotted what I thought MIGHT have been the issue – the “upgrade” left each of my Content Boxes without a selected Font Awesome icon. So I re-selected icons for each and published but still nothing.

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingI saw that section earlier and played with it a bit without success. But I went back and tried again.
As they’re each enabled/disabled individually, I disabled all of them, published, then re-enabled all of them, and published again. Unfortunately, no change. I’ve still got my header and slideshow….then straight to the blog posts. No Content Boxes.

In reply to: [evolve] Issues after updatingWell, I found where I could change the padding on main menu items – so I reduced that a touch on the right and got the menu back to a single line in full-size, desktop browser windows.
I’ve found the settings for the Content (Feature) Box themselves….but not how to return them to visibility on the front page.

In reply to: [Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons] Floating WITHIN a sidebarThanks, socialdude ??
The theme, however, has an always present top menu bar that very effectively hides the “stuck” widget. I’d need to be able to adjust the top positioning similar to the way the plugin lets us adjust the position of the icons when we set them to float.

In reply to: [DK Responsive] Shortcodes in Homepage Content areaHello, Jose! And thanks for having a look at this.
I am, in fact, already using a child theme so do I create a file called home-area.php and put just the section of code you’ve provided above in it? Or do i need to duplicate the entire file from the parent theme and then un-comment the appropriate line?
