When they first started the wishlist, you could have a link on your website and not be searchable and remain anonymous enough than online friends could chose to buy you Christmas presents, etc. or pay for online services like creating themes, etc. and yet, you could safely remain anonymous. It’s just a privacy issue with me.

I worry about all the information people are giving out to each other online. Mind you, I have what city I live in on my website. ?? I also have pictures of the Festival that’s held there displayed in my photo gallery. But then, I also don’t use my real name, nor is my real name listed in the phone book. Heck, even my pets have online aliases…So…

I have to ditto ladydelaluna. It’s very slick and very clean but not very flexible for other resolutions. For example, my work and home computers are on 2 different resolutions.

Now what I would like is to be able to link to my wishlist without Amazon showing what city/state I live in. Didn’t they used to keep that part anonymous?

gotager2 – I’m fairly sure you have to use a php file. You can’t use .htm or .html to run WordPress.

Where have you installed your wordpress directory in relation to your subdomain?

For example, my domain is https://www.exit-23.net. My subdomain is nmallory.exit-23.net. I have wordpress installed in a subdirectory under nmallory’s home directory.

I agree that this should be stickied required reading.

Sometimes it’s very discouraging to see your request for help fall off the face of the forum while people flame each other in other posts. I often feel very bad for folks when I’m searching topics and find someone who requested something months ago and never got an answer, even the occassional “good stumper” response would let a newbie know they aren’t being ignored. Just my 2cents.

Actually…if I weren’t the only one involved in writing at the site, I might actually get more focused over there. I’d be interested in discussing a make-over too. I always wanted it to be about sharing of info, not just about “oooo, I lost 5 lbs this week!” LOL

I really need to get back to eating Core myself. It doesn’t help that my current medication for migraines lets me eat anything and lose — I say that but it supresses my appetite which means I don’t eat, which means, that I can eat 5 bites of cake today and will lose, but that’s not healthy. I need to get back to at least eating Core foods because I enjoyed eating them and they made me feel good.

And now I’ve rambled on about something way off topic.

Anyway, I would be interested in joining forces and keeping the domain, if you were interested. ?? That would motivate me to go ahead and upgrade and move the db into it’s own MySQL db too.

OK I went digging and I see that people who’ve had this problem before were using the word “curl” in their posts. I looked in the post I was trying to post and I was talking about curling up with my cats.

It allowed me to add the extremely short post shown but not the several paragraphs I wrote later. I write lengthy posts as a rule.

All I know is that it was highly embarrassing to be a computer professional and have my mother calling to complain that my emails are bouncing back…especially when she thinks I am a computer genius for some bizarre reason. LP was completely ruining my rep.

Now I can go back to my simple life of making clinical health systems share data when they aren’t built to do so and read those silly chain letter email jokes my mom sends at her leisure. ??
