In reply to: [Simple Author Box] Just didn’t look goodI agree with this feedback as it was exactly my experience as well (except no theme issues). CX options limited / not looking great. Strict refund policy to keep in mind before buying.
Thank you! i have posted a note on your github link.
Any idea when the 4.3 version might come out? before end of year 2023?
Hi Bill,
This is great, and worked like a charm. Thank you!
I made sure to leave your plugin a 5-star review. We have used it now for a year or so.
Hi James,
Fixed! Resetting from the tools page worked.
Thanks for your quick help on this – highly appreciated.

In reply to: [Quiz Maker] Auto-start quizThanks @alquist4121, I was going to post the exact same question. Can we request the feature or “up vote” it somehow?
We have received over 1,000 quiz answers from your plugin in the last 2 months. However, in my experience, removing an extra step (like asking people to click to “Start”), can get you 20-40% more responses (Well, I have actually seen almost a 2x increase in form submissions when featuring the form fields directly on the page as opposed to a “click to subscribe”).
I believe having this feature would help us justify building more quizzes on more pages. Other quiz plugins do offer this option but I prefer Quiz Maker ??
Thanks in advance,
Nick`

Thank you for all your help – it is working now on both test sites with the new release ??
Thanks for all your efforts – highly appreciated.
I have also installed v3.14.5-rc.1 version, but the experience appears to be the same:
I’ve created a new post and tried to add existing Publishpress authors (who are not WP users) but was not able to do so. I can select a Publishpress author, and update the post, but the author is no longer there when the post re-loads. Only authors who are also WordPress users are added.
When I add several WP users on the post, only the first one displays.
Hi Steve,
I’m sorry if you feel that my 1-star review was “nasty”. I felt it simply described that the plugin was no longer working for us. I’ll be happy to remove it or edit it, if I can get the plugin to work because I was very satisfied with the plugin up until then (as I mentioned in my review).
I did get a couple of questions from your team, but have not received communication in the last week indicating that you were even working on the issue. Frankly I thought you were not even looking at the issue. So if you were indeed working on the issue (and working on it over a holiday week-end), then I do apologize. It would also have been super helpful if your team had simply left a quick 1-sentence update to let us know you were working on the issue.

That’s a great description.
On our side::– Whenever we add a new post with 2 authors (both authors mapped to a WP user), only the 1st author gets displayed. The 2nd author is not displayed (even when it is mapped to a WP user)
– PublishPress Authors that are not mapped to a WP user are not getting displayed at all, even if they are the first author on the post. Only 1 WP user is displayed.
– When we make a content update to an existing post that still has PublishPress authors (which are not WP users), then these PublishPress authors get removed from the list of authors displayed on the post. This is actually our biggest program right now because we are making a lot of content updates to old posts but we want to keep an accurate list of authors.Hi @andergmartins,
Thanks for your help so far. We have several content updates that are now on hold because of the PublishPress Authors plugin issue. It looks like it’s also affecting other sites @pokeyjoey.
What do you recommend as next steps?
We would rather fix this issue with the PublishPress plugin rather than having to use a different Authors plugin, but the current situation is not manageable so we need a solution very soon.
Nicolas
Yes, you are right that when I mapped an author to a new existing user, I was now able to add the author to a post.
This created however another problem: this author had 20 posts to his name, and mapping the author to a new user resulted in a new author page URL with only 1 post (the post where I just added him as an author). I was hoping that even if a new author page URL was created, it would still show his 20 posts.
Upon further inspection by a dev, we cleared our object cache, opcache, page cache, and “All cache” through Bigscoots, Cloudflare, and WP rocket, and the issue persists. We are no longer able to add a “Publish Press Author” to any page. Updating an existing page/post with a Publish Press Author results in the Publish Press Author being removed (only remaining author is the WordPress user who created the post).
Please help!
One more note… the “Authors” has been working great since we first installed it around June, but it stopped working only a couple of weeks ago.
