In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Problems getting startedHi SSP team,
If I wanted the episode title and description that is distributed to podcast platforms to differ from the long-form blog article it is related to, could I use the episodes-section in the plugin to do that, and then pull the episode with the player block into the blog article?
Thanks,
Nicole
Hello @zinigor, hello @erania-pinnera,
It works now after a workaround: change the French title to exclude the cedille, add the category to the Jetpack newsletter options, then change the title back to include the cedille.
Please consider the issue resolved for the moment.
Kind regards,
Nicole

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Gutenberg editor “Save” button always onHello @maybellyne ,
Thank you. I don’t recall that I updated WordPress simultaneously, but I will examine that.
Kind regards,

Hello @tamirat22 ,
Thank you for reaching out.
Re. error message in the editor: As I have deactivated Jetpack, I cannot provide a screenshot. With Jetpack SEO on, it was an irregular occuring error message that seemed to be a false one as the content and meta was actually always saved. But it produced an autosave instead of a real revision.
Re. page indexing: I have switched to another SEO plugin and fixed some issues that I have caused by using the blank template that suppresses the H1 title as well as unneccessary redirects. It is too early to tell, if site indexing works better overall with the new tool. But what I would like to encourage Jetpack to consider is an easy option to deactivate entire custom post types, archives etc. from indexing and offering a no-index option for individual posts and pages from the overview. The sitemap could also be improved to list the pages, posts plus user selected custom post types and taxonomies. This way we could communicate more efficiently to search engines, what content we prefer to see indexed.
I hope this helps. Please consider the topic resolved from my part.
Kind regards,
Nicole
p.s. Please reconsider the language you are using on the default pages and templates. “Yup.”, “Howdy”, and other slang may not be appropriate for all sites. Also, for non-native English speakers, a clear not clever language is often better.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Gutenberg editor “Save” button always onHi Mushrit,
I mean the one and only “Save” button in the Gutenberg editor for posts and pages in the top right corner (I suppose no image is needed here). This button is usually deactivated when I access a post or page; only when I make changes it is active indicating that I need to save my changes. Since I have installed Yoast SEO, it is always active, which is not helpful because it may lead to saving to often and producing unneccessary revisions.Kind regards,
Nicole
p.s. Another issue is an “failed to update meta …” error message when saving a page or post. This seems to be a false error as everything is actually saved. But it prevents the “view page/post” link from showing up.
I stand corrected. Having applied the lesson template to a lesson, the navigation actually works, even if it says in the template that it is unsupported.
Hi Donna,
Re. FSE custom template. Not all Sensei blocks work on a newly created template. The blocks you mention are “unsupported” under Twenty Twenty Three.
Re. free Sensei lesson template. For the moment I stay with the free focus mode template. It would be nice to see more customizing options in this template, for example for the progress bar color, or removing the fixed header with only a toggle-sidebar; this way we would have more reading length on a laptop.
Thank you for a consideration.
Nicole
Hi Donna,
Thanks for responding. Jetpack is definitely a culprit, other candidates are Matomo and Mailerlite.
Re. Lesson navigation, back when we had widgets, not blocks, there was a Sensei widget for the modules and lessons of a course (same as is now in the template), and a progress widget (same as the elements x of x lessons plus the progress bar); these could be added to the sidebar. It would be nice to have these available again.
Thank you.

Hi,
O.k. I managed to access the template. Basically, I have to deactivate several plugins, including Jetpack, access the template to edit it, and then reactivate the plugins.
It would be nice to see more editing options in the future, for example to remove the fixed header by providing an alternative to the mobile hamburger menu.
I am still searching the classic Lesson navigation block.
Thank you
Nicole
Hi Gaurav @gaurav984 ,
Please consider the problem as solved; I have signed up for WordPress.com Business.
Best,
NicoleWorking from a Chromebook, I need a simple and secure program to upload videos to WordPress via FTP, if necessary, and import them into the Mediathek, if necessary. How does that work?
My hoster is proposing programs that are not available for Chrome OS and plugins I don’t know.
This is unfortunate. I do not want to be limited to 30 min. video lessons in 720p because of my hoster’s restrictions. I find your VideoPress solution so elegant.
Do you know a hoster who does not set such limits?
A related question:
In embedding a video in a Sensei lesson, I would not want the video itself to be accessible via the attachment page. I see that there is a link to the video that works also in an incognito browser window, but that there is the option in the media asset page to uncheck a link to share the video. Do I have to protect it any further, like with a SEO plugin that redirects from the attachment page to the post itself? Thanks for clarifying,
Nicole
