drats, my home page is working but subsequent pages are not and my image links are broken.

Well that’s embarrassing! Made the change and error is gone not sure how I missed this when I was looking at all the options (been awhile since I used WP). T H A N K Y O U!!!

I have no idea how WP came up with that list of hosting companies, what the criteria was, how they were tested and evaluated. For all we know they just agreed to pay to be listed and that’s not what I would consider for a host.

Head over to webhostingtalk dot com and do some research and posting.

No way to know for sure with just the info that you gave. How many users do you have? Are you running anything other then the plain WordPress install? You have to provide more information. Run your website through:
https://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ or
https://tools.pingdom.com/

They may help point you in the right direction. I also would think about getting another host, they should be willing to work with you at pin pointing what the problem is and give you access back to your website. Just IMHO but I would avoid any host that provides “unlimited” anything. There is just no such things so they will “adjust” the rules to make sure you can never use anything in an unlimited manner.

I’m trying to basically accomplish the same thing and it takes at least 3 plugins to “remove” the elements in the various areas. You are basically just hiding things from your group of users. You might want to play around with these (BACKUP first or install on a test area I ran into varying conflicts).

Following the link posted by andrewtrench I added this line to my wp-includes/cache.php file (right after the <?php tag: )

ini_set(‘memory_limit’,’64M’); // set memory to prevent fatal errors

Why 64MB? Well if you look at your error you will get a memory size in bytes. The 33554432 in the error told me 32MB was not enough so I bumped it up to 64 and my errors in the dashboard went away. I did not have to do the other two steps.
