I really don’t know yahoo webhosting but i’m surprised that they would not help you. Does Yahoo WH have a support forum? I would try posting there see if anyone else can help you.

The error you describe seems to me that the mySQL database wasn’t setup or you don’t have the correct username or password.

I would not pay for a hosting company that can not help me with an issue, I recommend you seek out better hosting. Head over to places like https://www.webhostingtalk.com (google for other hosting review sites) and see what is recommended.

Give Freshly Pressed a try (https://freshword.freshlypressed.net/prices/) I don’t use them myself but I’ve heard good things about them. Like anything do your research first. WP should be a simple install from any host that has Fantastico (or similar).

Freedom of speech means alot of things to alot of people. Being Hispanic myself and against all hate speech and hateful attitudes I still support the rights of those groups who may say painful things about my heritage or culture.

Censorship and denial of basic rights is a slippery slope.

Just had a friend ask me about this and wasn’t able to find anything like this. He would like to be able to have users upload various photos/graphics files and have a plugin convert them into a PDF file.

Sounds like a great plugin, will this get made for WP 2.01?

no expert here but I had a similar problem to this when I messed around with the width’s in my style page.

I’m a total noob too so I’m not the best person to answer this but the Blix theme is one of the easier ones to figure out. Edit the layout.css file and look for this section:

/* container

Edit the width:XXXpx; to whatever you want.

Just took a look at it, I can (barely) see the K2 base but excellent mod job. I also love the footer and the waves at the header.

Overall very nice.
