kind of “hack” is to use one of widget instead of page title ??

500 is a generic error; couldn’t really guess what it is aside from plugin conflict or low memory. Look at your server error logs to find the ‘true’ error. It should be obvious to the cause from the log.

You have to ask this question to theme developer, default tagline is configured fro worpress menu > settings > General but from default options its not possible to change page tagline
so, get in touch with theme developer, or you may need to research third party plugins
