hi @klcarron,
Have you tried clearing your cache after the upgrade? this usually fixes the issue.

Hi @natharock,
You can definitely achieve your goal with AAM.
And based on your purpose it is best for you to get the AAM Plus Package (https://aamplugin.com/extension/plus-package) for the following reasons:– Have groups, with capabilities (with “Test” capability)
–> You can create new Roles (which will serve as Groups for the users ) –> Available with AAM Core (free version)– And put one capability (“Test”) on a WordPress Category
– If a user is on a group who have “Test” capability, he can access to all articles inside this category restricted with “Test” capability
—> You can create custom Post or Page Category ( core wordpress only allows category for Posts but with AAM Plus Package it lets you create categories for Pages ) –> https://aamplugin.com/help#page-categories—> Then assign and manage the Post/Page Category so that only the a certain Role (Group of users) can access any item under that category —> Available with AAM Plus Package
Hope I have answered all your questions.
hi @marc_j,
Please check this more details article on how to hide admin bar –> https://aamplugin.com/article/how-to-hide-wordpress-admin-bar
Hope this would help you better.
hi @srednasoft,
it seems that the Jetpack is causing the issue. Good to know that you are fine now.
Any ways, we will note this issue and include JetPack on our list of plugins we need to check on.By the way, AAM will also allow you to manage widgets and metaboxes. Check out this details –> https://aamplugin.com/help#metaboxes-and-widgets
if you have successfully updated the AAM and its Extensions. Please clear your cache.
Let us know if this fixes the issue or not.hi Kevin,
You might wanna manual add the wp capability for that Customizer ( under the Appearance right? )..
The capability that allows users to customize the site should be “customize”. ??
Simply add/create that capability so you can manage that per role/user.
Hope this helps.
@heronhebling extension versions should be visible on the Extension Tab/Page of AAM
hi @srednasoft,
have you tried to isolate the issue by temporarily deactivating the Theme and use any default wp theme and see if its not a theme related glitch?
hi @eddy2018,
Base on my understanding on your setup. You want to have a page that displays Links to different pages which needs access (users are logged in)..
So https://hospitaloffers.com/homepage-not-login/ –> this displays the list of country or places. But the actual pages for the Locations/Country are restricted.
If my understanding above is right then these are the steps you need to do:
1. So your Public Page (example : https://hospitaloffers.com/homepage-not-login/ ) will remain public.
2. Then you need to put the Location Pages (dedicated pages) under a category ( let say Locations, or Countries)
3. Then you need to restrict the access of the location category by following this guide: https://aamplugin.com/article/manage-access-to-the-wordpress-posts-and-terms
Note: You might need our AAM Plus Package for managing access of Terms (Categories) –> https://aamplugin.com/extension/plus-package
So basically, you will use AAM Plus to restrict access of certain categories (Terms) per Role or Users.
Hope this helps.
You are very sweet. Thank you..
hi @srednasoft,
thanks for that. Updates for all our references and articles found in our website –> https://aamplugin.com/ for users are on the works. ??
hi @kohp,
can i ask for the links as to where we can download the exact plugins you are using so we can replicate the issue and make some test to verify what is causing the issue.
hi @srednasoft,
what is the current WP version and AAM version you are using?
so we can try to replicate this issue and see whether is has to do with the JetPack plugin or not.Hi @ryse,
What were you trying to hide from the Backend menu? Where you hiding some Terms (Categories) from the backend?Coz the only possible scenario here is that you might have restricted some Pages/Post/Terms/Categories and might have hide it not just from the Backend Menu but to the frontend as well.
hi @brunov99,
We strongly recommend for you to reset/clear the settings and remove all changes you made on the roles, especially involving capabilities because changes to the list of Roles and Capabilities are permanent and AAM does not reset them.
Cheers!
