We are trying to replicate your scenario and will get back to you as soon as we get to the bottom of this.
If you want only 2 users to have access to the back-end of your site just make sure you only have 2 user SET as Administrator and all other users (NEW or OLD) set to Subscriber. Also insure that new Registrations/Users are set to Subscriber ( WordPress Backend –> Settings –> General ).
And make sure you have Subscriber’s capabilities set by Default ( which means you have not added any capability.
Hope this helps.
You are very welcome tim!
Hi Tim,
First, can we setup a custom user role where it is the only role that can access this parent page and potentially child pages?
—You can setup a custom user role directly on the AAM plugin by simply going to the AAM settings from the backend and you should have an option to Add a New Role on the User/Roles Manager widget (should be on the right). And with this custom Role you can set it to have access to which ever page you want on your site individually. But if you want to be able to manage default access to all your “Pages” and “Pages” Categories for each Role you have to get the AAM Plus Package extension. You can read more about Role Management here –> https://aamplugin.com/help#users-roles-managerSecond, can we create a custom user sign-up form that ONLY allows site visitors to become a user for this specific role?
— If you want to change the default role for visitors who will register you can simply do that on the wordpress Settings-> General under “New User Default Role”. The newly created custom Role will be available once created/added. But as to a custom or different signup form (totally different from the default wordpress login page), we do not have that at the moment.Hi nirizim,
