I have also used an older version of wordpress but nothing changed. I can’t see the slider option when i create a new post.

I work with Ubuntu 16.04 and i have installed xampp to use wordpress on a local machine. I also used WP verison 4.6, 4.4 and 4.3.
Is there a problem, you think?

I have now all plugins deactivated.. but it doesn’t work, I can’t see the option slider. I’ve also made a new installation on another computer but it still doesn’t work. I’ve donwloaded wordpress 4.7 English(not German version) and I also can’t see in the new installation the slider by categories. I also choose an other theme (catch responsive) but it doesn’t work.

What’s wrong with my wordpress?

The problem now is, that I can’t see the slider option by categories. Is that because of the newer version of WordPress, 4.7? I use the German version of WordPress but I think that this shoudn’t be a problem, or?
