I have gotten to here….
There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started. Need more help? We got it. You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn’t work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.
I have reloaded the config.php with my data still not working??
any ideas?

Yes I restarted from the beginning..deleted everything and started from scratch. the php files are there now .and they are in the server/host in the webspace explorer under the wordpress directory/file
In smart FTP when I open the connection , the folders are there too, inside the wordpress folder that I made …does that make sense? i have never done this before , can you tell..lol

Yes, I unzipped WP, then I opened wordpress and upload all the files inside to the wordpress subfolder? in my domain using smart FTP…wp admin,wp content,wpincludes. When I look inside the directory the install.php file is there ….I’m so confused

I have figured out that the php files have not transfered though ftp…I’m getting a file does not exist…is that any help?

There is no file called install.php in the wp-admin folder
There is one that just says install. I have tried this also with the same http 404 error. I’m new to this , sorry I don’t know what to do
