In reply to: [Roost Web Push] Is This Plugin Actively DevelopedHello,
Yes it is. ?? We’ve been working on a lot of things over the past few months and will be updating the plugin again shortly to include some of the awesomeness.
And our team is still intact. We’ve had come changes but that doesn’t change the mission or goal.

In reply to: [Roost Web Push] Undefined Variable version 2.3.8Hi Serpentsoft,
We just pushed an update (v2.3.9) that removes the parts of the plugin that you are referencing that were throwing errors. This happens on servers running some older versions of PHP.
Should be good now.

In reply to: [Roost Web Push] Notification not promptedHey sagaroth,
If you email us at support@goroost.com we can discuss specifics. Beyond that a few thoughts:
? Are you serving your site HTTPS? Chrome and Firefox require your side be secured with HTTPS to use web push.
? Are you using a supported browser? Supported browsers are:
— Chrome (Desktop and Android)
— Firefox (Desktop)
— Safari (Mac Desktop)– Dan

In reply to: [Roost Web Push] Featured image not showingPulled up the notifications from your account and see that some notifications have the image attached and some do not.
Have you been sending all of them triggered by the plugin’s Auto Push feature? If so, make sure that the featured image is added before publishing an article — the notifications are triggered immediately at that time.
Please verify the sending method for me.

We do not have anything specifically for support with this plugin / service and do not have anything planned, but will keep it in consideration as we discuss the next steps and features.

In reply to: [Roost Web Push] Mixed FeelingsHey obi55,
Would like to chat and help you get all of this resolved. Shoot us an email at support@goroost.com.
I’ll answer what I can here though:
1) There are a few reasons you may not get the permission prompt out-of-the-box. Chrome does require HTTPS (SSL). If you do not have this we have created a few workarounds, but unfortunately the plugin is not optimized for set up of those yet. The bell works on any browser / device.
2) Are you referring to on our dashboard during account set up? Want to know if there is a bug here. Did you try from the Settings section once through the set up walkthrough?
3) We do have the ability to use segmentation / categories for sending. There is a bit of lift from your side using our APIs not plugin out-of-the-box. Segments are a paid feature not in our Starter plans.
Appreciate the feedback and nod at potential.

Hey Anjanish,
This is due to your URL not properly being entered at the time of setting up your Roost account. It’s an easy fix from our side, but I just need you to email us at support@goroost.com with the email used on your account and the URL to your site.

I want to take a look at your account and see if we can figure this out.

Thanks for the response Tevya, and I understand.
We have recently changed our plan structure and available features, and now have a Starter plan that is a reasonable monthly cost. The decision was made so that we can continue to offer a great product with premium support.
If you’re open to have a conversation would like to chat.
Have a great day.
Hey Tevya,
I can’t speak for the current features and / or future plans of the Push Monkey guys, but I can tell you that Roost has a stellar plugin that has full support for Chrome notifications covering desktop and mobile. You should check it out.

In reply to: [Roost Web Push] Notifications don't show on mobile devicesHey cocoonfxmedia,
iOS does not yet support notifications through browsers. So Safari is only on OS X and Chrome support is for every platform except iOS.
