Triggered by your response I update my local env and tried again and seeing some very different results this time. For now I’d close this issue – I will raise a new one should we encounter any other issues. Thanks so far.

No, I was logged in to the main site and reported from there.

Are you able to change the behavior by disabling all plugins except for Wordfence and reverting back to a default theme such as Twenty Twenty-Two?

Not an option, as we’re experiencing this on a production site.

We use Wordfence’s 2FA functionality. Hitting enter instead of the button does not change the error. Renaming the folder did not change it either. I mailed using the instructions provided. Thanks in advance.
