Hi @dr_dad,
Question: If I disable “open registration” is there any way that non-enrolled individuals can only see a course’s course number and title, course description, course instructor, list of course topics, and an Access Button that will take the student to the total course to initially register and then enroll in a course. All courses will have a prerequisite for the course: Student Orientation. My big problem is that the Access Plan section has unwanted text (have submitted post about this). So far we can’t get this fixed. I’ve more than run out of time to have this website up and running. The situation is at the urgent level! I don’t have time to learn another LMS program!
Answer: Yes, so what we mean by open registration is that anyone can just make an account on your site without enrolling in a course. What I meant by “open enrollment” was simply that the access plan was set to “no payment required”. This will require students to click the access plan button on the course and lead them to a registration page that will enroll them in the course once the registration is complete.
Anyone can register on your site but having no “Open registration” makes sure that anyone who signs up for the course/site is getting directly enrolled in the course as a student.
Question: What is the Menu Editor?
Answer: This can be found under Appearance->Menus You can edit the main menu of your site there.
Question: How do I get to the LifterLMS section of the menu editors.
Answer: This is found under LifterLMS->Settings->Account.Let us know if you have any further questions!
Thanks and take care,
I’m sorry you’re having this issue!
When you say you’re not able to enroll users is it that you can’t enroll them on the backend under Student Management? Or are you having issues with setting the access plan?
Can you provide us with the steps you are taking to try and enroll students in the course so we can troubleshoot what could be going wrong?
Let us know if you have any further issues!
Thanks and take care,
Hi @mel4dia,
This may have come in error.
If the emails were sent successfully and you have not received any further error messages then it may be a non-issue.
However, if you can provide us with any screenshots of the message and your system report we can try and see if there could be any potential issues that triggered the failed message.
More information on how to submit the system report and screenshots here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/before-posting-you-can-help-us-help-you-by-following-this-guide/

Hey @migswd,
I’m sorry you’re having this issue!
If you could, please, post a copy of your LifterLMS System Report: https://lifterlms.com/docs/how-to-use-the-lifterlms-system-report/ When posting your report, please follow the www.ads-software.com forum guidelines for posting code: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum-user-guide/faq/#i-need-to-post-code-is-that-okay
Also if you could provide us with any relevant screenshots and videos that would be great! You can use a service (Dropbox, Drive, Imgur, CloudUp, YouTube, etc…) and post a link to your screenshot or video.
That said, I’m pretty sure you have a paid product with us, so if you would like to submit support ticket about this at https://lifterlms.com/my-account/my-tickets that will be the best way for you to get support from us! As the forums are for users of the free plugin.
However, that said we are happy to look at this issue here if you would prefer!
Thanks and take care,
Hi @dr_dad,
Thank you for the screenshots!
I apologize for the confusion, the “Pricing Table” is the Access Plan block. You will definitely want that one in there. However, it might help to have deleted it and now to add the block back in fresh.
To do this, you’ll want to follow these steps: https://lifterlms.com/docs/new-editor-wordpress-5-0-and-gutenberg-getting-started-guide/#blockage and select the “Pricing Table” to add it back in.
Once you update, do you see not he front end the Access Plan table back, and does it still have the unwanted text?
In regard to the Instructor avatar we have information on using this feature here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/use-gravatars-lifterlms/#lifterlms
Let us know if you need further clarification on getting the Pricing Table back on the site!
Thanks and take care,
Hi @austinentre,
Thank you for the system report! This is very helpful!
When you were turning off plugins did you test against the Custom Template for LifterLMS to see if there was an issue with the custom coding?
If so, and you’ve already had that turned off with the issue persisting, could you help us with debugging any Javascript errors by using this method: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/
After opening your JS console with those steps please reload the page. If you see any error messages in the console can you please copy and paste them here so we can use that information to try to recreate the issue and help resolve it.
Let us know if you have any further questions about this process!
Thanks and take care,
Hi @dr_dad,
There is no plugin that we’re really familiar with to recommend to you since this is more in the vein of a WordPress function than a specifically LifterLMS function.
However, there is a great article here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-connect-google-drive-to-your-wordpress-media-library/ on how to do exactly what you’re looking to accomplish that is very in depth with steps and information!
I hope this helps!
Please let us know if you have any further questions for us!

Hi @dr_dad,
Thank you for the screenshots!
On the WordPress Editor do you have a pricing table block that you can also send us a screenshot of?
Additionally, you can try to remove the Classic block at the very top of the page and the block with the issue to “Resolve”, if you save any information you want from that block, you can likely remove that as well and see if that resolves the issue in the access plan.
However, if you have a pricing block on that Editor it may be pulling some information that it shouldn’t, and it would help if we could see that as well.
Thank you for your patience while we troubleshoot this!

Hi @pranadacom,
You can try this CSS: .llms-instructor-info .llms-instructors .llms-author .avatar { float: unset; }
This is a little more general with the selectors and should affect all the instructor images going forward.
Let us know if this helps!

Hi @lifesgood,
I’m sorry you’re having this issue!
These are “Order notes” which serve to expose information on changes that happen on orders as a result of payment lapses or reactivation.
There is no way to turn these off.
However, the fact that the number is showing 104 is actually a visual bug.
We will record this bug and look into fixing the issue!
I apologize for the inconvenience!

Hi @joelvc,
I’m sorry you’re having this issue!
There is a bit more information we need to help you though. First can you give us a copy of your system report: https://lifterlms.com/docs/how-to-use-the-lifterlms-system-report/ there is information here on how you have to post code on the forums as well: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum-user-guide/faq/#i-need-to-post-code-is-that-okay
Additionally, we’ll need the actual error messages that’s occurring when you try to load the page to help us debug the white screen. You can find more information on how to do that here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/how-to-debug-a-white-screen/
That said, this sounds like this could be a plugin conflict. You will want to rule out a plugin or theme conflict by disabling all plugins except for LifterLMS and then switching to a default WordPress theme (like twentynineteen) and see if that solves the issue. Then turn each plugin then theme back on one by one until you see it reappear again.
The more information you can provide us on the issue, the more direct an answer we can give you so that you’re able to get your course editor working again!
Let us know if you have any further questions!

Hi @dr_dad,
1.) Yes, to enroll in the course the student must go to the course and click the enroll button which will lead them to a registration page.
(That said, if you have open enrollment a student can create an account without having to enroll in a course or membership first, however they would still have to go enroll in the course or be manually enrolled.)2.) Yes, the Student Dashboard page is the student’s account page.
Question Three: How do the students get their initial password? Where do they login? I see the “Sign Out” tab on the Student Dashboard. I’m I correct in assuming that this is where the student will log out to leave the website?3.) They set it themselves when they register. They can log in on the Student Dashboard page. That page is dynamic, so if the student is logged in they will see the dashboard you described in question 2. If they are logged out they will see the log in page and if you have open registration they will see the option to register on that page as well.
4.) This will take some custom code but we have the code ready to go here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/add-custom-fields-lifterlms-checkout-open-registration/ you will just want to edit in the field you want to add where it says “company_industry”. The company_industry is the example field so you know where to add your information.
This code can be added in your functions.php file or we have a Customizations plugin that you can add it to: https://lifterlms.com/docs/how-do-i-add-custom-code-to-lifterlms-or-lifterlms-launchpad/5.) The Dashboard tab is that main page. It’s the link to navigate back if they, for example, click on “My Courses” and want to get back to the main tab. To remove the tabs form the nav bar you will want to go to “LifterLMS->Settings->Account” and remove the endpoint slugs for those two tabs. If you want to hide the My Membership on the main dashboard page that will take some CSS:
section.llms-sd-section.llms-my-memberships{
display: none;
}I hope this helps!

Hi,
Thank you so much for the screenshots, unfortunately it seems they’re set to private so I’m not able to access them. Can you set the two PDF pages to public (you shouldn’t have to set your whole box to public). There’s information that here: https://help.dropbox.com/files-folders/share/set-link-permissions
Can I ask if, when you created this course, you cloned it from a previously existing course? We’ve been seeing this issue crop up over the past few days with cloned courses and were wondering if that was perhaps how this started with yours as well?
Can you let us know if that was how you built this course you’re having this issue with? Also, if you’re able to get those screenshots to us!
Thanks and take care,
Hi @pranadacom,
Were you able to see if there were widgets added to the Lesson Side bar on the backend (under Appearance->Widgets) that could be contributing to this? That is the most likely cause.
However, if there’s nothing there, it’s likely the theme is incompatible with LifterLMS so it’s reading the lessons page as a “regular” page and adding the extra menu. You could add some custom CSS that hides it, though it would have to get down to the specific page type (not just the lesson id) so that it will hide on all future lessons. We have some information on finding the right CSS selector here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/css-structure/
You could also try LifterLMS Labs: https://lifterlms.com/docs/getting-started-lifterlms-labs/ the Super Sidebar Lab: https://lifterlms.com/docs/super-sidebars-lab/ it’s designed to get LifterLMS sidebars working with different themes that don’t necessarily declare support for LifterLMS!
Another option may be to get in contact with the theme developers! They would be the best source of information on how their theme reads each page and how to edit the side bar properly.
Please let us know if you have any further questions!
Thanks and take care,
Hi @dr_dad,
If you’re not able to remove the information or change it, this could mean there is some kind of Javascript error. Could you post a copy of your LifterLMS System Report? Review our guide to finding your system report. When posting your report, please follow the www.ads-software.com forum guidelines for posting code. This will help us determine if there is some kind of conflict or issue with the activity of your site.
Also if you could provide us with some screenshots of the issues you’re needing to correct. To attach screenshots you will have to use a service (Dropbox, Drive, Imgur, CloudUp, YouTube, etc…) and post a link to your screenshot.
The “purchase” on your navigation bar is just the LifterLMS Checkout page. You don’t need it in the menu at all, as your course is set to free so it will only serve as a register page. You can change the name and permalink of this page from purchase to “Enroll” and/or remove it from the main menu by locating it under “Pages” and editing the title and the permalink in the righthand sidebar of the editor page.
To remove it from the menu go to Appearance->Menus then you will need to click on the “Purchase” block in the menu editor and select “Remove”.
This paragraph wouldn’t be found in our Course Builder (or maybe we’re not referring to the same thing?) Our course builder only lets you set up the sections and lessons in the course. The course editor page (if you go to the course and, in the black admin bar at the top of the page and click “edit course”) it seems like this is added on the “Course Information” block based on what I can see of the coding around the paragraph. You’ll want to look for it on that page. Keep in mind, if you edited the course page in Elementor, you may have to revert back to the regular editor to find this block.
If you could provide us with some screenshots of the other issues you’re experiencing that will help us provide a more direct answer since we aren’t able to access the backend of the site!
If you have any further questions, please let us know!
Thanks and take care,
