In reply to: Getting blog traffic in ChinaHi courtesyflush,
That’s a fantastic plugin, I’ve just installed it. If you’ve visited my site you’ll see that it’s billingual (Chinese and English). I don’t spose you know how to edit the code of the plugin so that it only appears when my site is in chinese? I use qtranslate plugin for language switching.
If you don’t know if you know who might and could direct me that would be appreciated.

In reply to: KemNow.com Say Hello from China!Hi there Kemple,
I have had a look at your site. I like the design, congratulations. I have a bilingual blog in Chinese and English (https://www.truthivefound.com) and I use qtranslate. It was easy to set up translation of posts. You can do this through manual translation or a search engine translation. Search engine translation seems to be not so good. In terms of translating other parts of the blog you can manually edit the code. I can help you with the little code I know if you need.

Nathan

In reply to: Using Wordrpess in ChinaHi there,
How are you going with your site? I understand if you have a wordpress url that it may be blocked, but if you have your own domain it will be able to be viewed in China.
I am interested to hear if you can access WordPress Admin in China, as I am currently in New Zealand but plan to move to Beijing at the end of next year.

Nathan

In reply to: This is beautifulHi there,
I like the website. From my experience simplicity is sometimes complex to achive, but when it’s reached its beautiful. I think you’ve got it, congrats.
My only comment is that on my widescreen laptop the images or film boxes do not fully appear because they are too big. Could be a view because I’m on widescreen.

Nathan

In reply to: Test Driving WordPress with GoDaddyHey Again Samboll,
So again I find myself stuck and need direction. I think you may be able to at least guide me…
I have qTranslate plugin for multiple languages. That’s great, it’s fantastic(https://www.qianqin.de/qtranslate). I want to take it to the next level and edit the code to make all headers etc on my blog translate. I simply need an example of what the code would look like and then I can trall through all the CSS files and find the headers and alter the code.
Alas, I can’t find an example anywhere. I have even posted a question on the qTranslate forum, but they don’t seem to respond (https://www.qianqin.de/qtranslate/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1497).
Please help me, at least point the new kid on the block in the right direction.
Thank you again in advance,

In reply to: Test Driving WordPress with GoDaddyHi Samboll,
Fantastic, so I got there eventually. I created a /test folder with all WordPress content and uploaded it. Then on GoDaddy I had to create a new SQL database and install Workdpress to the /test URL with new paremeters (username etc, host site extension etc). Now I have a test site.
So you’re sure that I’ll be able to migrate not only the content that I upload, but the WordPress settings back to my origional site?
Cheers,
Nathan
