I have a similar problem. Current text widgets don’t have the text/display editor. But the existing widgets display on the website. I can add a text widget but can’t name or edit it. I turned off all of my plugins and that didn’t work. Turning off accessibility mode didn’t work.

I’ve installed all the updates but found that the Chrome bookmarklet also doesn’t import a selected post.

Ken is your last comment regarding the 4.04 version? I’ll hold off on installing, if so.

It did NOT work for me. I’m running WordPress 4.6 on a dedicated server at Hostgator.

I tried to install 2 ways.

1. I installed 4.0.3 from the dashboard and got:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’, expecting :: (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM) in /home/REDACTED/public_html/loriburkeskitchen.com/wp-content/plugins/pressforward/Libraries/PFOpenGraph.php on line 56

It crashed the site. I deleted Pressforward from the HG file manager.

2. I then accessed my site, went to plugins and downloaded 4.0.3. I got the following message:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’, expecting :: (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM) in /home/REDACTED/public_html/loriburkeskitchen.com/wp-content/plugins/pressforward/Libraries/PFOpenGraph.php on line 56

@stephendale no I don’t think 4.02 solved the problem. I deleted 4.01, downloaded 4.02, tried to activate it and got the same warning about fatal error. The good news is it doesn’t crash the site because wordpress won’t let it load. I have seen no comment by PressForward about this problem. I think it’s been several weeks already. I can only assume they don’t have a lot of users actively using the plugin.

olossill1 this problem has been reported in this forum for the 4.01 and 4.02 versions of the plugin. No response from Pressforward so far.

I see no activity or update from developers. I like pressforward but will start looking for a backup or alternative.

Must not be a lot of people upgrading to 4.01. does Pressforward monitor this forum?

I got the same error after upgrading the PressForward plugin. It crashed my site. I went to cpanel and file manager and deleted pressforward from the plugins subdirectory. Up and running. Is there a way to access the last version of the pressforward plugin while this is sorted out? Thanks
