When I check Apache log it says:

……. script ‘/var/www/html/testproxy.php’ not found or unable to stat

When I press “View” here is what shows up in the address bar:

https://name.com/test/eysencks-personality-inventory-epi-extroversionintroversion/

Error message on screen as above.

The name.com page isn’t working. Nname.com is currently unable to handle this request.

This happens when I press “view” in the admin side of a test.

Went with a simpler plugin.

Here is the solution to prevent index.php appearing in the address bar.
Should work for Apache running on any VPS. Also have to remove ‘index.php’ from the custom permalink field. Change path accordingly in .conf.

Configure WordPress to Allow Permalinks on Apache
Instruct Apache to allow individual sites to update the .htaccess file, by adding the following options to the Directory section in your virtual host configuration:

/etc/apache2/sites-available/example.com.conf

<Directory /var/www/html/example.com/public_html>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride All
Require all granted
</Directory>
Restart Apache to enable the changes:

sudo systemctl restart apache2

I tried but same problem. You see the post works but the custom doesn’t.
I’ll keep looking and post if I find a solution.
Compliments on a great plugin – just wish this small item wasn’t there.

Doing more checking, the only permalink that works is the plain setting:
Plain https://url/?p=123

None of the others work. Was trying to get the page names to show.

Not sure if that is htaccess related.

Update on this, there was no change unfortunately. Just overnight another 8 spam emails.

I am not sure why this doesn’t work out-of-the-box, sounds like others have had installed this successfully. I placed the honeypot field at the top, changed tag names, saved the new form, etc. Perhaps others are using another captcha in addition to this? Not sure.

As stated in multiple posts, css injection tends to be ignored (as in your reply). Perhaps one must upgrade to Premium for hack free version, not sure.
