It would not work to change the margin. I tried a few other codes and it wouldn’t work. any more ideas?

Would you know what code I need to add to style.css to change the left margin? I want to move the products title over to the left more.

I already updated to 3.3 and I didn’t lose background or header changes. I don’t have the header image located in the child theme and I’ve never copied the entire theme- only started my own style.css in child. I am very new to css code. Can you tell me the exact code from twenty eleven I would put in my twenty eleven child? Even though I’d already updated without changes – I’d still like to add code to child to be safe.

I went ahead and updated to 3.3 and did not lose my changes. I’m kinda confused. However, I’d still like to know if there is a code I can add to my child to make sure background display color and header image stay intact through upgrades.

So I think I might have just solved my own problem. I had to adjust padding on #site-title AND the #site-description. Once I adjusted padding on both I was able to center the site title vertically.

I modified my background color, header image, etc with twenty eleven. THEN after that I made a twentyeleven-child and added style.css

I am under the impression that if I upgrade to 3.3 that my changes I made on themes (background color , header image, etc) will go back to the default settings. Are you saying that they won’t?

If someone could please tell me what code to add to my child theme so my theme modifications will not be lost. I think it’s something to do with functions.php. Help. Want to update to 3.3

I want to make sure when I upgrade to 3.3 my display background color will not change…

I figured out the fix by myself and wanted to share for future users.

I had bought my domain name on a different website/different company than my hosting. So I bought my domain at Active Domain and was getting hosting from Bluehost.com.

I had to go to my domain purchased site (active domain) and point the nameservers to bluehost.

Steps Taken:
I first found what my nameservers were through the domain panel on bluehost. Then went to Active domain and updated my nameservers to the bluehost server names.

NOTE: It will take about 48-72 hours for changes to be reflected.
