I have had to revert the site back to its original format so there is at least some functionality making it useful, so there is no longer a way for the baove links to see what has been happening.

So I will close the case..for now.

I have resolved the sub menu bar not showing up as it was related to my theme adding a 2nd JQuery library (I was told this by the plugin author as this is a bit over my head). So now, the sub menus do appear.

But I have a new problem in that the submenus disappear on all pages when I try to click them. I have done a bit of searching and found this could be a styles.css issue, but when I open that file, it is essentially blank. When I open the source code on a page on my site, it is overwhelming and I still have no idea what to change.

I have confirmed that it is related to the Use Data Tables functionality because if I deselect that option, everything works fine.

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix without changing php files as I think that is a bit over my head and I am afraid of what amending those files will do to the rest of my site?

Yes, it is a TablePress issue. Thanks for the help and I will seek help in that forum.

When I put the widget back to the old number of posts, it removes the new posts and reverts back to where it was frozen.

Another odd point, when I change the number of posts to display, it repopulates with current data, but then locks again and won’t refresh unless I change something else.

Any further thoughts?

I have cleared the locks repeatedly and I am refreshing from different PC’s to test it and I am still not getting updates.

The API limit still shows remaining items after at least 20 minutes, which should be plenty of time for the feeds to update.
