The purpose of the log file is to download it and open it locally in your computer. This file can become really big, and it will be more and more difficult to open it directly in your browser.

Developer are using everywhere and always .log files to store log in general. There is nothing to do here with user-friendly or unfriendly.

If your server doesn’t send you the log file as a download, you have to check the MIME file settings, so the server won’t open/serve the file as a web page and result in a 404 error.

I try the plugin local with XAMPP and online in another server and I had the same problem.

So I thought its something with the theme …
I found the problem, in functions.php i had an include (not include_once) for the same file and that was it.

I fixed it.

Found out that in file wp-security-debug-logger.php line 43 you include the file ‘wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php’ and that is causing the problem.

function maybe_create_debug_log_table.

Need to be fixed by the authors of this plugin.

It disappeared like a ghost before even the update.
I check it in 3 websites and there was no more warning.

Anyway I update Elementor to the latest version.

I did all the steps.
I’ m currently running OceanWP theme and in the site there almost nothing extra frontpage widgets/plugins running.
The problem still persist even with all the plugins disabled.

It happened with the last update.
Can you check this bug please ?
