Thanks for the reply but it has been resolved. Not the theme at all. An update to a plug-in had a php error in it which was causing the text widgets not to display the contents.

The owners of the plug-in have fixed the issue. I will find out what they did as I wish to use this slider on my other site as well.

Background is back thanks but the issue is it has altered the way the header appears.

Secondary menu does not go all the way across and there is a large gap now at the top whereas there used to be none.

Compare Nwaynews to nzwholesale and you will see the differences.

Part of the issue is how many products I want the slider to show. I reduced the number so it loads quite fast now. However the plug-in is still interfering with the header.

The header has a black background and that is not showing up and it is shifting the header down slightly as well.

If you mean remove this section altogether you will find it:

Appearance > theme options > Home Layout

Look for Homepage Layout Manager, third one down and just drag “latest Posts” to disabled column.

If you mean the text itself, the support team will have to help you with that.

Thanks for all the great tips. Site is not marked as a suspicious web site (thankfully).

Seeing I have deleted this folder no way to check those things you mentioned but will if they appear again (hopefully not).

Hosting this site is on is Hostgator but never had issues with their servers before.

A Comment: Wordfence only picked up the file not the directory. Looking at the file notification via email I saw the directory and then went to investigate via the CPanel and knew this was not normal.

The owner has sort of abandoned the web site as he is busy doing other things. Being hacked really discouraged him so I agreed I look after it for him and ensure it continues operating correctly.

With Wordfence on guard 24 hours a day has saved me lots of time in managing it so again many thanks for a great plug-in.
