In reply to: Images upload errornishanta,
I was able to resolve a different problem ( yet probably similar ) by uninstalling XAMPP and installing MAMP within the MAC OS environment. I suspect this is your issue as well..MAMP is specific for MACForum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: Images upload errorresolved well !

In reply to: Images upload error2992—–YOU WIN THE LUGGAGE !Yep…All is well…So it was obviously the MAMP V XAMPP Problem..I did NOT need a search and replace which didn’t seem to me logical so I tried the MAMP install and BaZinga ! Hope someone else might benefit from everyones help!
Thanks again All !Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: Images upload errorAhhhhh Haaaaaa…..OK…So I have not done a search & replace assuming the url’s for “localhost” would be the same..they look the same in the phpmyadmin database but I think you’ve got something here. I will do a SAR using interconnectit as I’ve used that script many times for other sites…OK…let’s have a go !
Thanks to both of you…will update soonishForum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: Images upload erroras much as I appreciate the help I’ve been through all the folder/file permissions at every level. I’ve done command line permission changes to Apache and xampp to no avail. Super freaky….. So a LOCAL install on my windows laptop…. Transferred the very same files ONTO MAC thru FTP… That same “install” now reads great on “LOCALHOST” on my mac but ZERO editable files THROUGH the wordpress ” THEME EDITOR”. Maybe that better explanation will spawn some fixes ??
Thanks in advance etc.Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: Images upload errorYou know the wordpress “built-in” editor…when I go to the custom.css file or any file for that matter there’s no (save edit) button..it says
“You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information.”
I’ve made the changes to file permissions that I know…And when I say I can edit the files directly I mean on my text editor in the htdocs etc. folders…Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: Images upload errorI get no error messages at all. It’s just as if the “blog” was under another admin. IN other words, I have the passwords and all and login is ok but it just won’t let me edit unless I do it through the files themselves. The WP editor doesn’t let me make changes…weird. I can handle the workaround but not being able to upload images is not ok..

In reply to: getimagesize text on home pageThanks esmi…You’re SO correct! I’ll contact Woo Themes and see if they can help correct the “Superstore” theme issue..I’ll post any resolution tips here if appropriate..
DCOK sorry Mr. life,
I just tried your plugin on my other site..went from local to live host..WORKED LIKE A CHARM..
When running the deployment on the “corrupt” site..After I fill in the DB values (ie USER, HOST etc.) the progress “meter” runs then trips to a parse error. It literally duplicates the active theme folder (and child) and places them above the “themes” folder. Then the functions.php file is created with “white space” which is fixable but all this is very strange. I’ve disabled almost all plugins to see if that would help but not yet. As above, changing the active theme did not differ. The only plugin I did not delete during my last try was WooCommerce. I’m reluctant to do that because I do not want to lose product data etc. I guess it’s been narrowed down to the WC plugin (still a guess)..OK I look forward to your suggestions and will wait till then.,..Howdy LOTG,
So I changed themes and ran the plugin with same “migrated localhost” onto ALL permalinks..So weird…PS Where/how do I submit a ticket? I don’t see a link..thx
DCOK..I have tried again since and also forgot to mention…I’m using WooCommerce plugin with “Superstore” Woo theme…IF that matters. The same result when tried again. I will switch themes and deactivate the WC plugin and see if that changes things. I will submit a ticket either way..THX again !
DaveBuechi,
I have same problem…I just email the plugin author my site url and if I get a fix I’ll post it here unless resolved on your end too…peace
DCJUST A “LOVE THIS PLUGIN” !! ATTA BOY !! Terrific time saver..and YES it’s always the PHP version slop… I tried to proactively change that but with all the files getting overwritten I guess it’s just an extra step..Peace
