I followed all the steps mentioned by Photcrati – as best as I could. I’m far from an idiot but relatively new to wordpress/nextgen – designing graphics for years but letting Web Buddies handle my webpage –

WordPress 3.6
Theme Parabola 0.9.9
NextGen 2.0.11 – ( I never had an installed earlier version)

Disabled all plugins, cleared cache and browser cache – reactivated all – no change – attempted a different gallery to see if this would work – deactivated all pages and galleries created with Nextgen – of the 2 or 3 that I tried – some partially worked but not completely and or were very weak and did not display again on the active page.

Having all my source files ready and in separate folders I did a re-install of WordPress 3.6 – Installed the default 2012 theme – galleries so “not found” and unable to create new ones. Re-installed Parabola – rebuilt from scratch – re-installed plugins – still not even a basic gallery template in as a New page option. re-installed Nextgen 2.0.11 (again since I never had an earlier version and could not find specific rating on the soundness of the earlier versions)

Was able to at least create a gallery again – and it appeared to link and gave me a page id # but attempting to view on the active page – “page not found”

So – new enough that I don’t know really what else to add and its possible given directions – If it goes beyond my knowledge level right now I might not be able to make corrections or supply the snippet of codes that might be requested.

That being said… I do need some help with this – or a work around until the latest version of nextgen. As a Graphic Artist – if people cant see my galleries then a website is useless. And in fact could cost me work because potential employers would see this as being inept on my part.

other than the forum are there any other roads to resolve issues?

Got tired of waiting for any response – need to get this up in a timely manner – deleted all pages parented to my Galleries labeled Portfolio. Deleted ever step and the deleted the page “portfolio” – the rebuilt them all – should have test on just one album as the same thing occurs… “Page not found” while in editing mode “page view” if I view each individual gallery – they populate all the images – the the problem is linking the the Frontpage/tab and sub tabs. Hopefully I get a response because my next move will be to delete NextGen and go with something else.
