In reply to: [Autoptimize] Auptoptimize 2.4 “war room”I take that back…2.4.0 is not working, at least not for me. Some pages won’t load, don’t know if activating the ShortPixel optimization had something to do with this…however rolling back to 2.3.4 fixed my site.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Auptoptimize 2.4 “war room”Hi:
First, thanks for this amazing plugin.
I tried the new ShortPixel CDN option and it worked fine – on the front page. But as soon as I try to open a post it loads and freezes and can’t scroll. After a while I get an error informing that the page isn’t responding. If I disable the ShortPixel option it works fine.
Disclaimer: I’m also using the ShortPixel plugin with a credits package I bought.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] FrustratingThank you very much for your review. On that paragraph issue, you can press Shift + Enter instead of Enter to avoid creating another paragraph block.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] FrustratingI really don’t get posts like this…I mean, you have these treasure trove of experience using all kinds of word processors (or text editors as you call them), and instead of using that experience -that I’m sure translates to knowing what works and what doesn’t- instead come here to write “It’s frustrating”.
Come on! help the devs! contrast your experience with the actual use model of Gutenberg, tell the devs what you think it could work and what doesn’t! you could contribute something instead of just write “frustrating”.
It’s ok to dislike something, but you could be more helpful in this process.

If you have iThemes Security, it could be the one causing this…

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Help! How does this work?I’m going to give you a blueprint (there are several ways to use Gutenberg): let’s imagine you’re starting with a blank document.
At the first position in blank paragraph, press “/”; select the block you want (you can write to find it faster or use the direction keys), select it with Enter or clic and write away. Images require the same handling as ever, that is, you either upload or select them from the media library. Remember that by default you’re writing in a paragraph block.
And that’s all. You can write a basic post that way. It isn’t that difficult really…and honestly, I find it much easier than TinyMCE. But that’s me.
Hope it helps.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Half-BakedThe only way I know is as follows:
1. Go to the position where you want to insert the image.
2. Clic on + on the menu bar (The one on the main toolbar, its only locate here)
3. Find the group “Inline elements”, open it
4. Clic on “Inline image”, then proceed as always. Please note that you can’t move the image (not yet maybe or I don’t know how…we’ll see), you can delete it and reinsert it at the correct position if you want. However, this block feels half-baked at most.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] What did you guys smoke?I’ve just tested and can confirm that pasting from Word (2013 in my case) produces a first block full of junk. Funny, I tested copy & paste functionality around version 2 of Gutenberg and worked just fine…tested pasting from Word, OpenOffice, everything worked fine back then. I guess this is a regression caused by newer Gutenberg updates.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] This is the future but today is not the futureTo be fair, no one is forcing users to use Gutenberg right now…when it IS ready it’ll be included in WordPress 5.0, whenever that version comes out…then it’ll be mandatory.
But not now.
There IS a communication problem offering Gutenberg right now for testing and NOT being clear about it’s not ready for production sites, that I concede.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] This is the future for WordPressThanks, I’m pretty aware of the Table Block. I was just saying that we need a better one.
Oh and also I’m fully aware tables are hard, I’ve programmed a few myself. Can’t wait to get the finished table block, features look sweet!
Thanks!
