In reply to: [Related Posts] Widgets are goneOk, it’s your plugin and you can do whatever you want with it…however I never experienced any trouble with the plugin; I didn’t had much use for the related posts feature since they’re in english and my blog is in spanish, but outbound links worked very well. I honestly think you should leave it to the users, I mean, it’s up to them to install something that doesn’t work 100% in their languages.
Thanks anyway.

In reply to: [Related Posts] Widgets are goneThere’s no error, and unlike compute_cumbria, in my site it doesn’t show on any post anymore, whether is new or edited.
Like I said in comment #4 there’s a message in Chrome ‘s console which could be of some help with the issue.

In reply to: [Related Posts] Widgets are goneIt’s not working in the editor, as stated above; when editing the post, all related posts and outbound links that showed below the editor are gone. It’s not front-end related, its in the admin.

In reply to: [Related Posts] Widgets are goneI’m seeing a couple of warnings in Chrome’s console, one for loader.js (which prints “exiting” in the console), and another that has to do with JQuery (“event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.”).
Any word on this?

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] very large cacheHa! my cache was at 1.2 GB before I decided to clear it. The plugin author told me that the garbage collector of the plugin isn’t working right, and should be improved in the next version. Hope that helps.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Positive Stories? Successful upgrades?I’ve got to a point where everything is working ok, but I had to develop kind of a “recipe” that works in my hosting…the only thing that I’m suspicious is the amount of disk W3CTC is eating. After a few days it was using 1.1 GB, and clearing cache took several attempts and overall was a pain in the ass.
My server is running CentOS & Apache, and WordPress is 3.5.1.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] 404 on post or save draftActually, there is something weird. Some .htaccess rule (I think) is triggering a lot of warnings and criticals in mod_security, which by the way is *extremely* picky…just today I had two ocurrences:
1 – It detected “tracert” in the content and blocked the post
2 – It detected data that could be an attack – this is a good one; the data was actually:<span style=”font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.6em;”>PS Vita: agotado en muchos lugares al momento de salir al mercado.</span>
Nevermind the language.
?The problem? it recognized the string “\\x22>ps” (the start of thes string “PS Vita” as a “web attack/command injection”. So I have to ask: to Frederick Townes, did you rewrite some rules? I don’t remember this behavior in any of the years my site has been going.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] 404 on post or save draftMy bad, it was mod_security due to a forbidden word.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] After updating I'm getting Fatal ErrorW3C Total Cache and WP Super Cache are different plugins; it seems to me that you’re trying to run two cache managers. If you can login into your site, go to the Plugins tab and disable WP Super Cache, then enable W3C Total Cache.
If you can’t login to your site, use your hosting panel to gain access, go to wp-content/plugins and rename the WP Super Cache folder to disable it, and then try to login to your admin panel. At this point WP Super Cache should be disabled, now you can try to activate W3C Total Cache.
Hope that helps.
