Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How to stop people viewing your uploads folderThere are multiple .htaccess files in numerous folders. Is there a specific one it needs to go in? Does it matter where I place the bit of code? I have WordPress code in there.
Will this automatically add index.php files to my folders? Thanks

In reply to: How to stop people viewing your uploads folderIf I visit other WordPress websites and try to access their upload folder index, I received a 403 Forbidden Error. Why is this not coming up on my site?
Thanks
Thank you for your help. With the correct permissions and a manual extraction I was able to successfully migrate my site. I am using NameCheap if anyone in the future has the same problem.
I will be donating shortly – you have saved me a lot of work.

OllieUpdate: I finally got the new version of Duplicator uploaded on to my site. I created a new package and downloaded a new installer.
I upload the package and the installer to my new site. I still cannot progress to step 2, although I am receiving new information in my installation log.
This is the log:

COMPLETE: trueWEB SERVER CONFIGURATION FILE RESET:

– Reset of .htaccess/web.config filesUPDATED FILES:

– WP-CONFIG: ‘/home…. [removed full address]ARCHIVE RUNTIME: 428.4959 sec.
Does this clear things up? If I visit my new domain I am taken to a WordPress installation screen.
Mant thanks,
OllieThank you for the response.
I downloaded the new version and tried to upload the plugin. For whatever reason it would not upload. I tried it on two sites (on the same server) but had no joy.
I did a manual extraction in the file manager. This seemed to work until I tried to logon by https://www.myurl.com/wp-admin. It redirected me to my old site.
I have tried your suggestions from your FAQ and none seem to be work.
I am using the Thesis Framework from DIY Themes. Could this be an issue? I find it very bizarre i’m having these problems yet many others do not.

The only thing I know about Java is that it goes in the <head> section.
I’ve tried using FireBug on Phil’s site but it’s not sinking in. Do you know of any tutorials?

In reply to: [Responsive Lightbox & Gallery] From 2nd images are not show on IE7It won’t let me edit my previous message!
I added in the code to the wp-like-ui-theme.css file and it did not fix the problem.
Any ideas?

In reply to: [Responsive Lightbox & Gallery] From 2nd images are not show on IE7I have also come across this error. Thank you to Metalscorpion for posting a solution.
Where do I post the css file? On the ‘Edit’ option of the plugin I do not see the above classes.
Do I need to go on to my FTP to paste the css?
Thanks,
Ollie
