Can I send you a zip of my menu and you can test?

Here is what theme support said:
“It looks like your popup plugin is somehow removing the javascript events on the menu (and likely everything else on your page), so nothing works after it closes.”

Is there a fix for this?

I think I found out it was a theme problem after I upgraded to 3.5. Once I edited the theme file, it worked.

It worked itself out, but never got fixed. The client had to move to a new platform so it didn’t need to get fixed. Thanks for following up!

My SOLVE:

– ended up being too many page revisions causing the page to not finish loading (you can check by viewing the source code and seeing if the whole page code is there or if it stops in the page revisions)

I installed this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/delete-revision/, dumped the old reviisons, and now it’s working.

SOLVED the problem – it seems I had too many page revisions on this particular page so the page wouldn’t finish loading. I downloaded this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/delete-revision/, dumped all the old revisions and it worked.

@surfrock66 – I’m having the exact same issue. It’s only one page that I’m having a problem with: in the Visual view it shows only the HTML and no visual buttons. When looking at the source view, the last line of code is the beginning of the page revisions.

I’ve tried all the fixes in this 3 page spread with no success.

I’m having the same problem: HTML code showing up in Visual editor. I followed tschoah’s instructions –

(although I’m not sure what he means by “Check that every file of the wp-includes folder has the user and group owners like the rest of your wordpress installation has”)

– and logged out and back in and it still appears to be broken.

This is exactly what I’m trying to do too. Any solution?

In my case, the page name was “winners” so I changed
$about->query(‘pagename=about’);

to

$about->query(‘pagename=winners’);

it’s working great – thank you!
