  • Hi,

Thank you so much for surfacing this issue and for sharing your solution. We greatly appreciate your efforts in identifying the change in the rendering of quotes with the update to WordPress 6.5. It’s helpful contributions like yours that enhance the WordPress experience for everyone.

We are glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue by adjusting the blockquote margin in your theme’s style.css file. Your solution will undoubtedly assist others who might be facing the same problem.

We will make sure to forward this information to the theme developers so that they can consider implementing a similar fix or at least investigate why the update may have affected the styling of blockquotes in this manner. It’s through collaboration like this that we can continue to improve WordPress ??

    Hi,

If you’re now looking to adjust the height for aesthetic reasons and you have some familiarity with CSS, you might be able to pinpoint and modify the element affecting the header height.

Once you’ve isolated the element, you can try to reduce its height using the block editor (if possible/available) or, most probably, by adding custom CSS to your site.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

You could use the site editor to edit your header and add an HTML Block to insert your shortcode.

You can go to Site Editor > Patterns > Header (click on the pencil to edit) and then use a structure like this:

Here you have more info about how to use the site editor: https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/site-editor/

    Hi,

I can not currently load your site but based on what you’ve described, it sounds like your current front page is set to display your latest posts. This is a default WordPress setting where the front page is dynamically generated to show your most recent blog entries, rather than a static page. Therefore, it doesn’t appear in the Pages list as an individual page that you can edit with Elementor.

To edit your front page with Elementor, you’ll need to create a new static page. Here’s how to do it:

    1. Create a New Page: Go to Pages > Add New from your WordPress dashboard. Give your new page a title like “Home” or “Front Page”.
    2. Edit with Elementor: Click the ‘Edit with Elementor’ button to start designing your new page using the Elementor editor.
    3. Design Your Page: Build your new front page layout with Elementor, including any elements you want such as text, images, and navigation menus. Ensure you make use of Elementor’s responsive design settings to optimize for mobile.
    4. Set as the Front Page: Once you are satisfied with your new page, you’ll need to set it as the static front page. To do this, navigate to Settings > Reading in your WordPress dashboard. Under ‘Your homepage displays’, select the ‘A static page’ option. Then, for the ‘Homepage’ setting, select the new page you created from the dropdown menu.
    5. Save Changes: Don’t forget to click ‘Save Changes’ at the bottom of the settings page to apply these changes.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

Could you please specify where exactly within the Dyad template you’re expecting to see the link descriptions? Are these links part of your post content, widgets, menus, or another area?

Are you referring to the ‘title’ attribute that appears on hover of a link, or is it a visible description that should always be present with the link?

Could you provide a screenshot showing where you expect the description to show up, so we can understand the context better?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Typically, you can delete a theme from your WordPress dashboard by going to Appearance > Themes.

Once there, click on the theme you want to delete to open the theme details. In the lower-right corner, there should be a ‘Delete’ link.

If you can’t see the ‘Delete’ option or if it’s not working correctly, please ensure you are not currently using the theme you’re trying to delete, as WordPress does not allow active themes to be removed. Switch to a different theme, and then attempt to delete the problematic theme again.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

You can follow these steps to try to switch back to Fictive:

    • Go to your WordPress dashboard.
    • Navigate to Appearance > Themes.
    • If you see the Fictive theme listed, great! Simply hover over it and click the ‘Activate’ button.
    • If you don’t see Fictive, you’d need to reinstall it. You can get the zip file from: https://www.ads-software.com/themes/fictive/
    • Navigate to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme and then upload the zip file

If what’s indicated above doesn’t work, I’d recommend contacting your host to check if it is possible to restore a previous backup of your site before your theme was replaced.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

This sounds like a permissions issue.

The “Download failed. Forbidden” error message suggests there might be a permissions issue on your server. Please ensure that your WP-content directory has the proper permissions (typically 755 for directories and 644 for files).

You could also try to manually update the theme:

    • Backup your site before proceeding.
    • Download the latest version of the theme from https://wordpress.com/theme/libre-2
    • Connect to your website using FTP or your host’s file manager and navigate to the /wp-content/themes/ directory.
    • Rename your current libre-2 theme directory to something like libre-2-backup.
    • Upload and extract the new libre-2 theme directory into the /wp-content/themes/ directory.
    • Ensure the file permissions are correct after uploading the new theme files (755 for directories and 644 for files).
    • Login back into your WordPress admin panel and see if the theme is updated.

    Hope this helps!
