We’ve done a short screen recording that shows what we typically do; this shows the original text in German and the translation in English; after the adoption of changes on the German blog article, we validate and accept the changes in the WMPL tool, but then the link on the English site is changed back from directing the user to the English partner shop (before changes) to the German shop (link the URL in the German article.

Summarizing, the problem is that after a renewed translation of parts of the blog article, WPML is changing all links back to the URLs of the original blog article. It rather should not change any of the URLs in the translated version unless the editor is doing so.

our live website is wissen.sanoanimal.de with original texts always in German, and translations into English, Dutch, Spanish, and Swiss German.

    Hi Edson,

there is actually no link to see it live; but I believe that the problem can be replicated quickly by just having an original text where one word contains a link to a different website; then translate the website into a different language and change the link in that translated text to a different URL. Go back to the original text and change one of the other words in the text and save it. In our experience, the URL in the translated text changes to the URL of the original text.

I do hope that the above explanation helps to understand and possible replicate the problem we are currently facing.

A fix of this bug would be very much appreciated, since we have a lot of blog texts that contain different URLs in their respective translations.

    thanks a lot
