In reply to: [Name Your Price: Make Your Own Offer for WooCommerce] Hide priceHi @iuda,
Can you please elaborate more about this? Since the plugin is about “offering a price”, why the price field should be optional or even not visible? What the customer is expected to submit in the form then?
Omar
Hi @macsuibhne
Can you please elaborate a little, what do you mean to collect VAT “number”? Also, can you please provide some reference for this?

In reply to: [EU/UK VAT Validation Manager for WooCommerce] declare_compatibility errorHey @mediaworkbench,
We’ve released an update last month related to this, are you using the latest version? WC & WP latest as well?
If yes, please send us a screenshot of the your log to debug further.
Omar
Hey @clv01,
Thanks for the info, I’ve discussed with the team and we will be implementing an option in the plugin to allow this.
In short, once enabled, it will work smoothly and sends every call to VIES, once we get a response with either of these:
MS_UNAVAILABLE
GLOBAL_MAX_CONCURRENT_REQ
MS_MAX_CONCURRENT_REQThen VAT amount will be removed, and a message will appear (customizable from admin) highlighting this, something like “VIES is currently unavailable. You are allowed to place an order, and this order confirmation is subject to VAT validation by the admin”
Hope this meets your needs.
Omar
Hi @cvl01,
So basically, you’re looking for an option to “turn off” the plugin validation if VIES isn’t working properly?
We have an option to turn off validation (at the top of validation tab), but this will keep VAT amounts, as I understand, you want to remove VAT amount from order, here comes a few points:
- Will this option be manually enabled/disabled? If yes, then we can simply disable the plugin (and remove tax) if you only sell B2B. If no (automatic), then how to tell if VIES is down to trigger the option to work (as there are a lot of cases when VIES can’t work properly).
- Is this compliant? I doubt, since you’re removing VAT for everyone.
Would love to hear your thoughts.

@shar2024, thank you for the message and approach, I’m following up with you directly on the ticket.

In reply to: [EU/UK VAT Validation Manager for WooCommerce] declare_compatibility errorHi @davelo,
Very sorry for overlooking this, I’m handling your ticket now and will let the dev team respond ASAP.

Hi @shar2024,
I apologize for the lack of response here, since the name here isn’t matching our records, can you please confirm if your ticket ID is 27946? If not, please provide it or just resend to support and we will take immediate care of it.

Hi @masterofbazaar,
Charging VAT is not a plugin setting, if you have an order from Norway and it was charged, that’s because in your store WooCommerce >> Settings >> Tax >> Rates, there is either a row for Norway and tax for it, or you have a * (which means anything) and a standard tax applied to all countries that are defined in that table.
To remove VAT from non-EU countries, simply remove them from that table (if they exist), or remove the * row (or make it 0%).
Omar
Not at all, it was my bad.
I guess in the next 2 months, since it’s not only on our side but depends on Woo development as well.
I will come back here and nudge you when we have more updates on this.
Omar
Sorry @biissen, I just checked with our development team and they confirmed that the provided field_id won’t even work on a block checkout page, we’re prioritizing working on this and hopefully Woo will provide more compatibility options soon.
Apologize for the mis-communication.
Omar
@biissen,
Sorry I wasn’t that clear, since it’s not what you would expect when you hear “work better”, but if you’re just looking to add the field, try adding it using field_id:
_billing_eu_vat_number
But to be straight-forward, it won’t work as you would expect. We’re in contact with Woo to move things faster.
Omar
Hi @biissen,
We’re still working on this, as it’s not still fully compatible by Woo (under active development):
https://woo.com/document/cart-checkout-blocks-status/ (under Extensions?section)
We are waiting more compatibility options from Woo on this, but we’re still looking for ways to make the plugin work better on block checkout.

Hello @glovaci,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we might look into this, if (and only if) you properly chose your words.
Thanks,
Omar
Hi @roweg,
Thanks for the feedback, while the free version of the plugin offers tons of features, unfortunately we can’t simply put everything there, as what might be basic for a customer could be advanced for others.
Regarding your note, you still have some profit reports in Analytics > Orders and can sort, order, and export based on cost & profit columns available there.
Regardless, we would love to discuss with you how we can make it better (for you and for other customers as well), so if you don’t mind, please send us on plugin main website, and will be happy to take it from there.
