@mikealan , for this I would suggest using Strong Testimonials, the plugin would be a great option for your request. I have used it before.

– it allows you to create a form for the ex-pupils, add your choice of fields, even include image and it is submitted as the testimony.

– allow the post to be on pending until the site admin approves it.

– provide you with a shortcode to display approved testimonies.

In addition, once you get the shortcode, place it in a page and save the page, now add the page as a link to your menu items, you can also make the page accessible to logged in members only.

The shortcode is very good as it shows the latest testimony and you can determine how many testimonies would be displayed per page, it will then create pagination for others, it can also display testimony summary and allows you create a read more link.

The ARmember plugin would be a great option for you, as it also comes with the privacy option to restrict certain areas of your website to subscribed users only.

Now for the creation of records, you can achieve that using various means depending on the end product you want, for example, a quick way if to make the records a post, only the user that submitted the post can see and edit it, post can also be downloaded as Pdf. To use the post method, you need to ensure all your website post are private or users post are all on pending (that way it is saved as a record but not accessible to the public).

@mattheeuwsk I would suggest you use a membership plugin like ARmember.

– it would allow you to run a membership site.

– users can create an account, log in to edit details easily.

– It also has you create your own login and registration form that is drag and drop and you can include all the fields you want, make it compulsory or even optional.

Yes, changes to one theme would affect all the site that is using it. But you can try by specifically enabling that theme to the sites that are using it.

@marketman32 Since you posted on localhost I want to believe you are working offline.

Steps to reset password
1: Ensure your local server is running fine, open your browser and access https://localhost/phpmyadmin

2: From the left, locate the database of the site you forgot the password and click on it

3: You will see a list of tables on the right, now look for wp_users

4: You will see all the users on that site, locate the user you want to reset the password and select edit.

5: Now locate user_pass (this is the password area), type in the new password in the last box in front of it and remember to select MD5

6: Click on GO to make the changes.

You should be able to access your site with the new password now, hope it helps.

@nikolam great job so far, I can see the plugin has been updated but the date issue is yet to be resolved. The sermon is still showing date even when no date was entered in the date field. Please, I need help to fix that. I do not want the sermon to have a date.

I do not feel Preached date should be compulsory, non should the publish date appear on preached date if it was left empty; it should be optional and if left empty it should not display on the front end.
