No, the page remains active and visible regardless if I set it to draft mode or published mode (pending review pages give 404 but still appear in menu which I also think is bunk). If I switch my themes to TwentyEleven, they work as expected – draft pages do not appear in the public side menu regardless if I have added them to to my menu under the Appearance tab in the admin. I’m not sure how I managed to pick four different themes by four different developers which all have, in my opinion, the same pretty major bug in them. There should be a very simple line that says, “If in draft or pending review mode, don’t show in menu.” I’m off to hunt for that missing line…
