Won’t be able to update WordPress for another week but I tried Ultimate TinyMCE on another (updated) installation and all worked fine.

So, while the cPanel/FTP wouldnt let me delete the Ultimate-TinyMCE subdirectory, it would let me rename. This made the dashboard functional again. Then I was able to delete the plugin via the WordPress interface.

Will update WordPress and try it again.

Or can I rename it to de-activate it?

We tried to delete the entire Ultimate-TinyMCE folder but it refuses to delete. This in itself may be an issue with the cPanel.

So Im wondering if I can deactivate the plugin in one of it’s PHP files…then see if I can use the dashboard again.

Also…We can’t change themes, see other plugins that are activated/deactivated/installed/uninstalled, etc. All we do is click the links on the left but nothing displays.

SOLVED:

I downloaded the latest WordPress version (3.0.1) which I was already running. I copied the WP-Admin folder and FTP’d this folder to my site (I made a back up of the existing/problematic WP-Admin folder first…just in case).

Everything is working fine now.

I changed the domain settings (URI’s?) first and followed all the steps in order at this page:

The domains, permalinks, all pages/posts, etc are rendering fine. The dashboard is the only thing that seems to be at issue. It works for the most part but seems like any javascript or functionality outside of text links are broken.

Just to confirm, the link you posted would address the wp-admin/dashboard problems?
