in case anyone ever reads this. The problem in my case seems to have been one of the posts, I tried navigating to

edit.php?post_status=publish&paged=2

and it worked fine, so it was obviously one of the posts on the first page. I used to search box to look at one by one until I spotted the bad guy and deleted from the database directly.

Additionally, either the ability to ‘preview’ your blog before upgrading to make sure it wont break it (I always panic when there’s a new upgrade) or the ability to undo or downgrade to the previous version.

last post before mine is a month old and no help.

I tired deleting the last post just in case, but there’s no delete option, only a move to trash, but in order to see the trash you need edit.php to work properly. nice!

I had the same problem recently. edit.php disappeared, then I edited the last post (just added a word or two) then updated and edit.php was working again.

Today I went to check again and it was gone once more.

The .htaccess didn’t work, if I restore my latest back up I will lose quite a lot of articles… any other ideas?

I really wish WP had a feature where you can test the upgrade wont break your website before committing to the upgrade.

similar thing is happening to me. As far as I know it was working well a few days ago, not the pages are not showing the content.

it this to do with the update to 2.8.2?

I’m wary of upgrading in case it breaks any of the plugins I’m using
