Hi! I am not sure we can help you here as WordPress.com and www.ads-software.com are different but did you try looking at Settings → Reading? That may be where your private blog setting is.

I did some research and adding plugins should be done the way you are attempting. It looks like perhaps you are trying to add a plugin that costs money? If you are able to add other plugins without that message, then you may have picked a plugin that costs money. Not all of them are free. Good luck!

Hi! I had trouble installing using WPI (Web Platform Installer) as well. What I did was to uninstall IIS (Internet Information Services) and then re-installing. I am including a link to a guide that may help as well.

Hi! Hopefully, we can figure this out. Can you tell us what theme you are using?

Try going to the page you want to change the menu item for and look at the top of the page, just under the title; you can edit the link there. Is that what you mean?

I have used GoDaddy for WordPress hosting and found it was easy to use. I also believe you can import your Blogger site into WordPress. I am including a link to the page that discusses what is and is not included in the import.

I use WordPress.com for a site that I run and I want to understand your problem. Do you want to add a new theme that is not present in the selections offered by WordPress.com or do you want to select a different theme offered on WordPress.com but do not see how to do so? While using WordPress.com, go to your admin page, on the left hand side look for Appearance –> Themes. From there you should see lot of themes some pay for some free. To select a new theme, hover over the theme with your mouse and click on “Activate”

I had the same problem. I guess I should do more research if we both had the same problem and the same solution–seems like there might be a better way than uninstall and reinstall. Glad you got it working!

I looked at your site, is there an image on the side where you want the widgets? Maybe that is why?

It is a good start. I would like to see some content on why you like the movies. Also, perhaps a bigger font for the header. It is nice, but the Amazon banner ad kind of takes away from your header title.

I am seeing the posts you are looking for. Sometimes, it takes a little time for the browser to catch up to the new post.

Well, it looks very good for a first time site. I would like to see more contrast between the background and the main content area. The main content area kind of bleeds into the grey background. Try a darker color–perhaps something in the blue that is in the navigation bar there. I did not read the content so I can not comment on that.

I am not that savvy with SEO but to make your site more travel related, you might change the domain name and the tag line to something more vague. Include graphics that are geared towards general travel instead of South Africa. Just a start. Your site looks great.
