Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Site broken in Internet ExplorerOK. thanks. Again, I have no idea about the validation errors nor do I have time to read about fixing it. My blog has been up and running since 2007 without major issues. The big problem appears to be in Microsoft’s court. Why anyone insists on using IE is beyond me. I use wordpress because it is suppose to be simple and mostly trouble-free for people who do not write code. If my site didn’t work on any browser, well then I would be more concerned, but the fact that it is only IE is very irritating.

In reply to: Site broken in Internet Explorerall plugins are deactivated.
I’ll say this as simply as possible: I have no clue about all those validation errors; I don’t “do” code; I don’t understand why the site is fine in all browsers except any version of IE prior to IE9.
So, what are my options?

In reply to: Site broken in Internet ExplorerI switched to 2011, and that didn’t help either. I dislike IE as much as anybody, but unfortunately there are those with WinXP who will not try anything other than the browser that Microsoft gave them.

In reply to: Site broken in Internet Explorerthe link to my site is in my first post. https://onemom.com
The problem isn’t for me, because I don’t use IE, but for my readers that use WinXP and can’t upgrade to IE9.

In reply to: Site broken in Internet ExplorerI have tried several different themes this morning and all bring the same error message in IE. It should not take this much work just to get a simple blog site to be visible in IE. I don’t do code or CSS or whatever. Just looking for an answer to why my site won’t work in IE. If anyone knows of a particular theme that does not trigger an error in IE, perhaps that would be faster then sending me to other forums. As I said, I have tried several different themes, shut down all plugins, etc, etc, and still getting the same error.

In reply to: Pages and older posts not appearing in fullThanks Aakash – I will give it a try. (If there’s a new version though, why hasn’t it shown up as an update in my plugins?).

In reply to: Pages and older posts not appearing in fullcubecolour – thank you. I did as you said and you were correct. It was a plugin causing this problem – the WP Socializer Plugin to be specific. Thank you again for helping me solve this problem without a lot of time or effort. Whew.
