Hi Webbettle. The change for free accounts on Oct 31 is that subscribers who have not visited your website in 18 months will be removed.

When we looked at our data, we found that when users have not visited a website in 18 months, the probability of them engaging with future push notifications is very low (close to zero). Therefore, we do not believe this change will have a meaningful impact on your experience using OneSignal. If someone revisits your website after those 18 months, they will be re-added to OneSignal without any additional interaction, and you can resume messaging them.

We apologize for the short notice on this change and we appreciate your feedback on this. While we do not plan to make additional changes like this in the foreseeable future, we will make sure to provide ample notice and information going forward.

Hello, I tested your site and it works for me on mobile. You may have turned off push at the browser level on the device.

Hello, there is not a way to “fix” this yet but is something we are aware of and will be updating in the near future.

We have several large updates in the works right now but do plan to tackle this problem!

Yes this is possible based on a couple different options:

1 – you can setup the “Category Slide Prompt” to ask users to opt-in to messages from their favorite authors: https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/wordpress-customizations

2 – you can tag users with code when the express interest in a specific author: https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/add-user-data-tags

Hi there, you need to remove the custom code you aded to the site. Our plugin adds all the code you need.

I’m sorry to hear you had a hard time but this isn’t a feature we currently support. You would need to implement this using our API directly: https://documentation.onesignal.com/reference/create-notification

A user submits a post, you save it to your database and send an API request with the data you desire.

We will consider this as a feature for a future version of the plugin but for now, you may be better off hiring a developer from fiverr or upwork.
