By default, excerpts in the Ashe theme are pulled from the post and not custom which is common.

First of all, I am extremely sorry about the experience you have had with us. I have checked your query but this is quite strange! It shouldn’t change to the Sinhala language completely.
It should keep all the strings on English language if your default language is English. For example, Here I am attaching two videos to show you the first view of admin panel and the view after changing the default language.

It would be so appreciable if you please share some screenshots and tell me about the default language of your WordPress website.

I hope you are doing well.
Normally, BetterDocs search works only for BetterDocs contents. It doesn’t load “Envira Gallery” related content unless modifying the BetterDocs search query. And to speed up the search you might need some custom development like migrating the BetterDocs contents to a different table, changing core BetterDocs functionalities etc.
To specifcically reduce the search timing, kindly keep betterdocs contents in wp_posts table. To modify our search fucntion navigate to /betterdocs/public/betterdocs-shortcodes.php and go to line number 699, you will get our search function there.
Note – You have to modify these things based on you requirements and own risk. You may lost this customization if you update the plugin.

I have checked your query. Actually it works on most of the themes without having any issues. Maybe you are getting this because of style conflict of your theme. We have checked this plugin with the most popular WordPress themes and found all the layouts okay.

That seems strange! I assume that you are having a conflict here. Can you please check for plugin conflicts by following this: You can check for Plugin conflicts by deactivating all the third-party plugins one by one except for the Essential Blocks for Gutenberg.
Simply go to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to wp-admin -> Plugins and then, deactivate other Plugins.
Besides, you can switch to a different theme like Twenty Twenty Three. And, check back as well.
Also If you please share the Site Info then I will give it another try. Please go to your WordPress Dashboard -> Tools -> Site Health -> Info -> Copy Site Info to Clipboard. Then paste it in PasteBin and share the link with us.
