In reply to: WordPress crashed, is down, need help restoringMy last post remains the “most current context”.
I refreshed my cache and browser and it doesn’t seem to be running for me.
How are you able to see that it is running?

In reply to: WordPress crashed, is down, need help restoringHello,
Can we download the latest WordPress package and restore our files and materials?
How would we install and do this?
A couple of us do have access to the FTP.
We’re not currently sure what to do with the .htaccess
It’s up again? It didnt seem to be 30 seconds ago. I’ll refresh my browser and my cache and check in again.

In reply to: WordPress crashed, is down, need help restoringWe can look into that,
I’m skeptical that that plug in trick will work, but we’ll have a developer (who is unfamiliar with wordpress otherwise, but knows about admin factors) take a look.
Open to other good ideas as well

In reply to: Revisions: Fatal error allowed memory size exceededYour recommendation to use the database optimization – deleting post revisions plugin worked well. Thanks Tara!

I’ll look into it.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Revisions: Fatal error allowed memory size exceededHi Tara,
Thanks. I thought because we had already increased the PHP memory limit on our server that that may not be the key issue. Is there a way to increase that memory limit via WordPress? Is there a way to delete some of the earlier revisions, if they are adding to the problem?
Many thanks,

Thanks again Michael,
I will start a new post.
Great – thanks Michael.
Can I ask how to correctly use the code to get rid of the left sidebar on posts, or does this need to be introduced in a new post?

In reply to: Upload error, 64 B max?Hi Steve,
Your general assessment was fair and correct.
It turns out that we had adjusted some settings on the server late last week, and in investigating the problem, before calling the hosting company, I asked around and was able to increase the settings from “64” on the server to “64M”. “What a difference an “M” makes.”
Thank you very much for the helpful feedback, something was wrong, but between the three of us we were able to walk through it.
Many thanks!

In reply to: Upload error, 64 B max?Something seems wrong.
I am trying to upload small files (ie <2MB)
I can see that in the settings the largest file should be 650×400 pix.
The image I’m trying to upload has smaller dimensions.
not sure if we somehow need to delete Media Library files, but this error is new. Not sure what the solution is here. Increasing the file transfer size doesn’t seem to make sense.

In reply to: Upload error, 64 B max?64 bytes is definetly smaller than files we upload. I am now in the media settings. Perhaps either if I resize the image to less than 650 pixels by 400 px then it will upload, or increase those settings.

In reply to: Upload error, 64 B max?Hello,
Even if it is a typo, I was trying to upload a <2Mb file at the time when the error occurred.
Why would this be occurring?
