Finally , I created a txt file and named it hi.txt
opened it on my site.com/hi.txt , it opened fine . So where could the problem be coming from ?
UPDATE
From my last message , it seems mysite.com was using settings from mysite.com/new , so i rename mysite.com/new back to mysite.com/newx
Then i renamed the htaccess file of mysite.com and a new one is generated. Now i can access my wp-admin , but cannot access mysite.com. I keep getting this message
This page isn’t working
mysite.com?is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500
NEXT, I check Site health > Info > WordPress contant,
WP_HOME Undefined
WP_SITEURL Undefined
NEXT, I check the wp_options table in database, the site and home url is there. Have tried adding it manually through my theme’s function.php, still no change.
please help
Thanks Raymond and every other helper on this. I followed Raymond’s suggestion and went into the database. I found the upload_path and upload_url_path.empty. So i added wp-content/uploads to upload_path and left upload_url_path empty as suggested
Result- Blog images now upload fine but the other listing uploads are still white/blank
I am using a listing theme for creators so photos are very important to the website. Is there another table i might need to look into to update this
I have checked site health of the site it says the correct path
So next, I renamed the mysite.com/new to mysite.com/newx and boom… it says there is no configuration file .
Then i rename the /newx back to /new and i get a 500 internal server error
Now i am locked out ..please, help is urgently needed
No , i do not have any rank or achievement for that .
This is what i have noticedi deleted the initial demo point triggers i found when i installed the app. the slug for it is “points” . some of them are for sign ups and daily visits etc . those are the demo that came with the gamipress installation. I didnt delete the demo point type , but i created new triggers within it . lets call this gamipress demo , GAMIPOINTER
Now each time someone signs up , the new triggers i set up under GAMIPOINTER are activated for the old triggers which i had already deleted
example
Gamipress had a demo trigger to award “points on signup” , “points on login” etc . i deleted the triggers but kept the demo point type which we already know as GAMIPOINTERthen I created a new trigger under GAMIPOINTER for getting 10 points reward when you post a new forum topic
so , a new person signs up , he gets 10 points which is logged as forum topic award even if he did not post any forum topic . Then when he creates a new topic , he still gets rewarded
in the (invisible) gamipress demo triggers , there is reward for logging in. so he still gets 10 points rewards (meant for forum topic posting )
AND NOW
I created new point type AUTHOR and created new triggers , then i deleted all the triggers under the demo point type GAMIPOINTER – No errors for the invisible triggers anymore
BUT
With the new point types AUTHOR, i have seen a few errors which i will mention later but first the question is , I want to retain the GAMIPOINTER type , how do i stop it from awarding the already deleted triggers that came with the demo ?i am having similar issues too. it is wrongly awarding points
here is a link to my settings page `click here
as you can see , i did not set any events to award points on sign up but it awards 10 points on sign up with the “create new topic trigger”
i have also noticed that it randomly awards 100 points for the “publish new post ” when a member signs in without publishing any new postits really messing up my plans and i have no idea why it is so
