I seem to be having issues with your plugin and emoji characters in tweets. I am using Version 1.7.5 and WP 4.1. The Twitter feed works (actually shows the emoji characters on some pages in I.E. and Firefox and rotates correctly), and then the feed brakes on all other pages. I noticed in one of your post above you mentioned that emoji can be very problematic, and to try using an earlier version such as version 1.7.2 as garthkr did. I will try that going forward, but please let me know of any other alternative solutions with your current Version 1.7.5.
