Most providers install a version of phpMyAdmin on their user domains.
Another way is to use WP-Backup:

But I am actually not sure in which format it saves the dB. Never used it myself.

In reply to: Integrating Word Press into my siteShould work fine in WP. You should get one of the gallery plugins for image uploading. I used to run a multiauthor site in WP without problems. You only have to create the accounts and give them different rights – based on user levels.

You use your site URL as form action. Unless you hacked your WP-Theme it won’t work. At least to my knowledge.

What I really WANT are standards for interfaces between web applications, like a common user and rights management or content exchange. The engines should stay apart.

Try this one. Works fine for me – and I have a lot of images on my blog.
