In reply to: [Edin] Is it possible to add some sort of effects?Hi Kathryn,
I am very thankful for your response!
Indeed, I am running Edin on a WordPress.com hosted blog. But I do not think this should matter for my question.
To give you some background:
I am managing this site which runs a theme that by default provides these nice effects when scrolling down. Now, for the other site that I am running, and which uses the Edin theme, I would like to have a similar set of effects.
This was the reason why I was asking the question in the first place. ??
Warmly,
~ Robert

In reply to: [Zerif Lite] Open-source and wonderful supportDeear @gouravwptech,
This was the solution, thank you!
I disabled all suspiciously conflicting plugins and now the contact form is properly aligned.
I will continue to re-enable the plugins step-by-step to identify the ‘bad’ one.
All in all, thank you for your great work and excellent support!
Warmly,
Robert

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Markdown in Posts WritingDear @csonnek,
Thanks for your committed response. It’s very weird to say but it does work now.
So, I guess all problems solved for now with Jetpack and Markdown. ??
Warmly,
Robert

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Markdown in Posts WritingSorry for the confusion. Seems to be enabled by default. No need to look for an extra setting. Just start typing Markdown in the post editor.
However, inline code posting
does not seem to be supported. They are not rendered as code.
Can anyone confirm?

In reply to: File upload for guestsI helped myself with the plugin FS Contact Form, though it does not allow to store the uploads in the library but sends them via email.
However, a workaround I can live with.

In reply to: Title name of uploaded picturesThanks for this update jk25rs.
For now I accepted the file name as given since I do not want to change the IPTC field for every image.
However, I still would prefer that WordPress would take care of this by not using the IPTC field but rather the file name for its labelling.

In reply to: Title name of uploaded picturesOf course I can edit the title but it would be already enough that WP takes automatically the file name for the title name. But obviously that is not possible.
To your second part. I do not have any option “save for web”, at least not with GIMP.

In reply to: Title name of uploaded picturesUnfortunately not even then.
I give you this example: https://nz.orzanna.de/2011/09/13/test/
The gallery contains two identical images. The first one I edited and gave it the name test.jpg. Its URL is https://nz.orzanna.de/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/test.jpg.
WordPress automatically sets the title to OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA.
The second image is the original one. Its name is P90400031 and its URL is https://nz.orzanna.de/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/P90400031.jpg. However again, the title is set to OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA.
This is the behaviour I do not understand. Why doesn’t WordPress take the file name for the title?
