The custom wp-login.php helps, instead of i.e. 300kb (less or more – depends on your 404-site) per 404-site with maybe 15-20 server-requests we give them 37 bytes only – with one request.

And, you can see really “needet” 404’s like broken url’s in your stats, and not more 1000’s of counted not found /_/_/_/_/_ via your plugin;

The login from your plugin works -with cryptically url,
the login from infiniteWP works perfectly,
Call to custom wp-login.php works – no 404 more.

in the meantime i did it in other ways to hide the login perfectly.

1. installed InfiniteWP (free version) to login into and update all my WP-Sites – works very well;
https://infinitewp.com/ or https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/iwp-client/

2. installed your plugin, changed the url cryptically – 30-40 letters;

3. renamed the original wp-login.php same way – cryptically -other letters;

4. custom wp-login.php (36 byte )with a message like: “no login here”;

Result:

-no more unreliable stats because of 1.000’s counted (!) hits on wp-login;
-no extra 404-traffic on WP-login.php – safed up to 1 GB traffic a day for me on some sites;
-faster websites (cause no 1000’s of 404 to deliver) and therefore:
-better server load;

okay, but why i cet it counted in the other plugin? -doesnt matter.

Works now, after i updated it manually. But some counters dont work, have a look at here, – your plugin and a similar:

Thats the problem, maybe. There is no folder “includes”. I will update it manualy, test and try, and report here results.
