In reply to: [Jetpack Protect] Jetpack Protect crashed my website@aclassifier, it looks like your site is already running Jetpack Protect 3.0.2, the version published a few hours ago. So the issue should be gone there

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack ErrorHis, this warning was also reported in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/jetpack-protect-crushed-my-website
We recommend keeping
WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY
set to false in yourwp-config.php
file for sites in production. This will prevent warnings from appearing on the frontend, while still logging them with
WP_DEBUG_LOG
for later review. We’re also going to work on a patch to address these deprecations in a more elegant way

In reply to: [Jetpack VideoPress] How to change video preview?Further UI integration for that feature is coming in the next release of this plugin. As I mentioned before, the ability to choose a frame is there. It has been there like that for some time in the Jetpack plugin, and we’re improving the UX of many aspects with this new plugin.

In reply to: [Jetpack VideoPress] How to change video preview?Hi Sergey.
You can only set the poster for a video using one of its frames by uploading the video from the VideoPress block, using the slider as soon as you upload the video there. (Before clicking the Done button.)
See image: https://cloudup.com/cXjfGNLnsiO
Unfortunately, you cannot do it afterward. Neither from the video management admin page provided by this plugin.
After uploading, you’ll only get to update the poster image by uploading an image from your computer or choosing one from among previously uploaded images from the Media library.
I’d recommend deleting the uploaded video from the VideoPress plugin media admin interface and re-uploading from the block to get the chance to select a frame.

In reply to: [Sketch Block] Layering the sketch blockI was using the WordPress App and the Sketch block is simply not one I can select from
Oh indeed. Currently the WordPress App offers a specific set of blocks from the ones provided by WordPress (core). So plugin blocks are definitely not shown there.
I do imagine it would work in a browser
Indeed, working on mobile on a browser will allow you to interact with the sketch block via finger or Pencil.
any way you will be looking at the undo and redo function I mentioned too?
Will definitely consider it further, and have been. Currently the block is just relying on the underlying undo/redo provided by the editor which, as you saw, it’s not quite a step by step undo for any given block AFAIK. But of course in cases like this, drawing could benefit much from a custom implementation of an undo/redo by the block itself

In reply to: [Sketch Block] What’s next? We’re thinking on a few other features. Haven’t established a roadmap yet though.

What uses you imagine could be satisfied by drawing on the frontend?

In reply to: [Sketch Block] Layering the sketch blockGreat! Nice write-up!
I cannot draw on my iPad or iPhone where I do most of my drawing because the block doesn’t work there. Good thing I have a touch screen on my PC or I would be screwed
Interested in this from your post. Would you be kind to provide a few answers? It should work there on those devices. What’s the symptom you’re seeing? Were you using Safari or other browsers?
Another issue I cannot seem to resolve is that when in edit mode the canvas fits into the page all fine but when published, it gets cut off on the right and the alignment option for the block doesn’t solve it.
Will try to get this fixed, thanks for checking it out!
