OK, found it!
If you have leagues activated with NO users registrated yet, score calculation won’t work (getting stuck at “update scores incrementally” probably searching for users and not finding any)

So after experimenting further I finally found that this calculation problem only appears when “Use leagues” is checked.
I’ve been deleting the created leagues and recreating new ones, deleting the plugin and reinstalling it and so on but the problem persist.
No one else is experiencing this problem?

No other plugins are activated. I even deleted them from the server.
I also tried with the custom theme.
I then installed the plugin on a complete different WP installation (different server, same WP version)
Then imported an old 2014 schedule, thinking something could be wrong with my games.
Then I went back to WP version 4.1.10. And tried with a different browser.
No matter what I do it always gets stuck at “Ranking List 1 Updating total points incrementally”. ??
Sorry for the custom job. I did’nt know!!

I had already tried the above code.
Now i added the ajax line but no changes (admin-ajax.php is still called, is it correct to put the line at the end of wp-config?)

It gets stuck, I left it turning for about half an hour (there are only three games and no users yet…)

I have another question:
I would need a non registered/non logged user to be able to place his bets and only when he hits the save button gets redirected to the registration form (or login form if he is already registered)
His bets should then be saved once logged in or registered.
Is this something that can be done? This would of course be a payed job, I realize it can’t be done in 5min. ??

No other plugins are activated.
I have tried to change for the default theme but still the same.

I only get the “something went wrong..” error when I refresh the page and I only refresh the page because the calculating gets stuck at Step “Ranking 1: update total points incrementally”.

Console shows that it is accessing wp-admin/admin-ajax.php about once in one second.

What seems strange: Calculation process starts after creating a new match. Is that normal? (don’t remember that every time you create a new match it has to be recalculated – already used this great plugin back in 2014)

Activated a simple alert after registration, that e-mail has to get checked (with plugin TML) That should do it and everything works fine ??

No success. The few plugins I found do not seem to be compatible with my global registration (registration page blank), so I could not even try if they act different in terms of firing hooks…

Not firing before registration is confirmed and not able to fire when clicking on the confirmation link?

About the widgets: Maybe it’s just some conflict with my theme. Shortcodes are working perfectly well!

This still does not work for me…
User gets assigned to no league if the default league is left empty in the backend settings and to the default league if set.
I placed the code into functions.php and also tried directly in the theme.php.

In “class-football-pool.php” on line 446 I changed

into
public function update_user_custom_tables( $user_id, $league_id ) {

Is that correct?

The problem occurs when using the widgets. It works ok with shortcodes.

But still no solution for Point 2…
