  • Albeit they (Yoast) can’t test every possible scenario.

However when I get an email (less than 15 min previously) advising of the rel=author removal and to update to 1.6, to do it and then watch as everything go haywire, I wish they wouldn’t be so quick to release updates…just saying.

And btw, no I don’t run any of the aforementioned plugins. I use wp as a cms and run 7 plugins, in total.

    Hi wpsmort,

You don’t need to move the Meta Description to directly under the Title tag, that won’t have any effect on your ranking

Albeit sites in non competitive verticals, it likely has a negligible influence. However, the objective of meta data (title and description) is to provide SE’s bots with information on what each page is about. Having this information directly under the “title” tag is or I least thought would be, a natural occurrence.

Having the description et al, inserted after scripts, css etc etc, seems pretty pointless, especially if AIOSEO data is being inserted (for argument sake) on line: 300.

Reiterating, it likely has a negligible influence on sites which are not in competitive verticals. But I strongly disagree, that it makes no difference where AIOSEO data is placed, on sites vying for highly competitive rankings.

Besides, in all the Google guidelines I’ve seen, the meta tag hierarchy, is title >> meta description – maybe Google are clueless too :p

The source code is a mess!

For starters, mutliple opening body tags are peppered througout the code. EG:

    • Opening body tag commences line 181
    • Line 626 another opening body tag
    • Line 655 closing body tag
    • Line 818 closing body tag – Line 819 closing html tag

Also on page style coding (and I dare say some javascripting too, which should be inbetween header tags, are instead in body. Liekly cause for multiple opening opening body tags. Reiterating this code is a mess.

Your og description is repeated in a <h5> under the <h2> Heading – About Us. I haven’t fine toothed through all your coding but from what I’ve seen, apart from the coding, maybe Google penalised you for keyword stuffing…

    Hi jrf thanks

I nutted it out with this post by following his guide:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-seo-by-yoast-open-graph-not-working-with-facebook?replies=17#post-4072119

    All fixed now ??

No offense but this isn’t “Quality” content. It’s full of grammatical errors. It reads like re-spun content. Not to mention, keyword stuffed too.

Blaming the Yoast SEO plugin for not getting this article indexed in Google, is like blaming the beer company, for you losing you drivers license, because you were intoxicated behind the wheel!
