fixed, sorted, marking as resolved.

Given I’d never installed or use CIDRAM on this site before, decided it was just easier to delete the plugin and remove any orphan files left behind (outside) the actual CIDRAM folder.

Installed again, used default u/p, and I’m in ??

Thanks, I’ll work on all of that for now, and hopefully get it to work. I’m on a VPS so that’s a plus. I’ll let you know how it goes either way, just in-case someone else finds themselves stuck ??

So now the issue is this, when I try to login to CIDRAM from WP admin area:
[CIDRAM] Maximum number of login attempts exceeded; Access denied.

Tired to find my IP (dedi) thinking it might be in a ban/block list, but not happiness.
What do I need to do to not only fix the above but have my IP whitelisted?

Maybe your site would gain higher serps if Google was not served cached pages *winks*. Besides there are over 200 different values G uses to rank pages.

However, with 30K unique hits, I dare say your site has a decent inbound link footprint, so serving Google a cached page probably wont have a high negative factor overall.

But on a site which hasn’t got the authoritive links etc etc, it could have an effect on the site’s rankings in Google or other SE’s.

I’ve checked the file and it is working, so no idea why Google received a 404. However that’s a moot point.

The fact Google is being served a cached file, is the concern here.

So my question is… why doesn’t the plugin identify Google and other SE’s and simply serve them non-cached-pages?

Maybe something you might like to impliment in future updates…just sayin ??

I run and Australian version of WP. The language identifier is en-AU

I’m more concerned about the bull**** fake virus audio alert/pop-under scam that showed up on page you just linked to.

So essentially we have a webmaster trying to scam site visitors (with a fake virus alter), who has now been scammed… One simple word – Karma!

I’ve un-installed the plugin (v 1.0.10) and uploaded it manually. Tried using the generic Twenty Ten theme to no help.

The db entries are not being created nor is the “install” db tables button in the rexCrawler Options.

I’m clutching at straws now…lol
But could it be a file permission issue?

Reiterating everything else is working except this plug in. I’m going to try another theme just in case it’s an issue but it shouldn’t be.
