In reply to: Help with CSS and validating xhtml…Your header misses information such as doctype and character encoding. Besides this, I see a few mistakes easy to fix :
– someimg
are missing thealt="image description"
(mandatory)
– some attributes are enclosed with ‘this’ instead of “this” (liketitle='View posts under blabla'
)
– the link to the comment page is incorrect :
none
Simplynone
should be enough for the same result
– your webring html won’t validate : if I’m correct, you can’t have a “target” attribute for a link in XHTML
Fixing these should help getting less errors ??Forum: Your WordPress

In reply to: Cronjob BackupNice, one suggestion though : this will backup the entire db, which is not necessarily needed. For example, my host gives me access to 1 db where I put all the table I need (a few for WP and a gazillion for phpBB, for example) It would be nice to make backup on a table selection basis.

In reply to: Speed up those archivesWell, there is a line in the Features page that may oppose itself to your project :
No rebuilding a€?? Changes you make to your templates or entries are reflected immediately on your site, with no need for regenerating static pages.
As I understand it, WP is not the best blogware to use if you want static generated pages ?

In reply to: Free Banner Exchange!(by the way, in msie5 (windows) the calendar on your site breaks the display : the font for the first line and for the “empty days” (those that are not links) is too big so the whole calendar is larger than your right column)

In reply to: XHTML Validation thoughtsMy tests tend to prove (to me at least:) that MSIE 6 displays things quite ok (ie like Mozilla, Opera and Konqueror), but MSIE 5 is a pure crap, at least on Windows. My advice would be to get things ok for Mozilla & MSIE6, not paying attention to (quite rare I hope) older versions.

In reply to: XHTML Validation thoughtsActually you can specify onclick in h3 and it *does* validate. My whole page wouldnt validate because the h3 was included in a span, not a div. Go figure. Now I have a valid XHTML page, which as uberwald said is more a pat on my back to say “gg dude” than a real improvement of my page ??
