  • Would love to hear if this worked as I’m trying to achieve the same.

    It is pretty silly, indeed.

    But…

    Here’s a workaround I tried successfully using WP 2.9.2 in Firefox 3.6:

    1. Write the post in whichever view you desire. (don’t switch as yet)
    2. Save (Save Draft / Update)
    3. Preview
    4. Edit
    5. Go from HTML to Visual if you need to, then go back. (Or if you were in Visual, go to HTML)

If the html code disappears when you go from Visual to HTML view, do the following (and NOTHING ELSE until you’ve done this):

    1. Click your browser’s BACK button. (should go back to PAGE PREVIEW)
    2. Click on EDIT post

This should open it in HTML, with all the code still there.

    Hi Andy,

I’ve just changed over from an Australian host to Media Temple.

When reinstalling Stats, I cannot find the blog account my existing stats were sitting under.

I have two WordPress.com accounts, each with a series of self-hosted blogs (most of them non existing but I don’t know how to clean up this mess).

I have just spent an hour going through each of them, deactivating and re-activating Stats so it prompts me to enter the API key to replace the blog account.

Every single one of them returns ZERO stats.

I have gone through this process successfully a few times over the past couple of years but for some reason this time it won’t work.

I’ve read through the forum q&a but from the stuff I understand, there’s nothing I haven’t tried.

I’m frustrated as my blog has been experiencing some great traffic increase and I like monitoring it through Stats!

    Any ideas?

I wish I could help, Alan, as I think this is a brilliant plugin.

I’m crossing fingers nothing will happen to my blog, as the functionality is still there after the upgrade to 2.5!! My backup blog is a fresh 2.5 install, where Widget Logic doesn’t work…

    Eagerly awaiting that new version!

Here’s a workaround: get your blog working in 2.3.3, then upgrade. In my case Widget Logic kept working.
A fresh install with 2.5 didn’t allow the plugin to do its magic…

    In reply to: WP-cron problem

Believe it or not but the lovely people at GODADDY took my site down yesterday without warning, THEN sent me an email which contained:

    512 [GET] script-consultants.net/blog/wp-cron.php?check

No wonder I am moving my hosting elsewhere.

I just hope this won’t happen again in the future.
